I actually hate how WoW has developed. I did vanilla wow end game raiding for a few months then quit when new expansions came out that kept making it easy.
and I HAVE been looking for a new MMO but if this is the type of players it attracts and how they act when a I question their game even a lil then maybe I should keep lookin

It's not about being better overall, he's talking about difficulty, but WoW is a terrible example of a difficult MMO. MMO's will never be as difficult as Ultima Online was back in the day, because of carebears, so bringing up difficulty is irrelevant anymore.

Yep. I loved how much of a challenge wow was vanilla but not it isn't even a sweat. You log in and Blizzard gives you gear. If guild wars 2 can bring back some of the hard mmos instead of mmos being geared towards casual players then I will buy it in a heart beat.

Did you ever even plan vanilla? actually play it and run 40man raids? it was difficult and I'm no fan boy. I look for what ever game floats my boat. I'm never stuck on any one game.

you kidding? WoW was incredibly hard back in it's vanilla stage... it took a person on average 6-12 months of raiding weekly 2 get all there gear... and hitting lvl 60 took months of play... WoW used 2 be a very hard MMORPG... they later on cut the XP for max level in half and started making all the expansions and just dumbing the game down so more casual people could get into it without feeling like they need 2 pay a character rush service or gold service money 2 be part of it.

was it hard because it was full out grind or because the content required skilled players. My point is Gw two is not about grind, its about difficult content.
