I've actually used a katana on those ballistic dummies that simulate real flesh/bone. As a normal untrained person I can guarantee you wont be swinging the blade with much force at all after the 5th zombie. Sure they can slice through flesh like butter. But what about the bone? Thats a much different story my friends...Not to mention the stress it would be putting on your fingers, they'd get extremely sore eventually. Then at that point your fingers would be so stiff you couldnt even pull a trigger on a gun, which means you're about to get wtfpwnt

Yeah I mean it makes you think. If katanas were such effective weapons in combat then why didnt other cultures adopt the technique? It definately has its flaws. Plus the lethality of the blade is all about your slashing technique. Meaning if you just try and flail with it you're more likely to injure yourself rather than a zombie

    Dont forget thrusting.....

Maybe they didnt adopt it because the didnt have the time to teach and create skilled swordsman. It takes ages to make a decent sword with the supplies and technology they had back then. Guns and gun powder was a much cheaper faster way to win wars and battles.
