Personally I don't think you are insane at all... I bought the booklet for this game back when I was in high school (2003) for $5.
I sold it about 2 years ago for $35.00.

Last I checked they are listing just the booklet on ebay for $40-$60... now I haven't seen any over $40 sell (most are just buy it now) but Id say it was well worth the money!

@dded- back in 2004 my local Media Play was going out of business I picked up one copy of the original FF7 (not greatest hits) for $10.... They had 3 other copies I passed up.
If I could go back in time I would have picked up every single copy they had!

Another good example. Thats why I still have all my original NES games with the boxes and manuals locked away in storage. One day I will sell them. and hopefully make a good profit.

Most NES games are completely worthless (like $2 apiece). The boxes and manuals typically double the value of the game except in some cases. My copy of Action 52 alone is worth about $80. With the box and manual, the game's worth skyrockets to around $200-250.
