How did you get windows without the installer?

Chances are the virus could be hiding in a folder that is inaccessible by anti-virus programs (such as some of the Windows folders). If you can, boot your computer into safe mode and disable Windows Recovery Point (Once you do this, you cannot revert windows back to a prior state). Since you have a second computer, download Avira Antivirus (from download.com) and install the antivirus ONTO A FLASH DRIVE. Make sure to update the antivirus software as well. Boot your f'd up computer into safe mode, insert the flash drive, and run the antivirus from there. Hope that helps, if it doesn't, then you might as well reformat.

i had the same virus it is in your registry files and also hiding in your antivirus files so it wont let u end it. once u get rid of it make sure not to click the flashing thing's even how tempting they are.

zero i found my key but i bought my hard drive with windows 7 on it luckly it is legit any way i can get a windows 7 disk for not the cost of buying windows 7 but i would really like to figure out how to just get rid of this virus manually i am running off a shitty laptop right now i get paid friday any good antivirus program i can buy and get rid of it i hate backing up my saved games if i could pay to not do so i amn willing

ok, google the exact thing that keeps happening, name of virus, etc. is it a rogue AV software (vista defender, windows security delux, etc etc...)? google it, and make sure you look for results from bleepingcomputer.com
