no my thing is that if America hadn't then it could of been years before anyone had. think of it this way if America hadn't been created we wouldn't have a lot of the things we have b/c England would of taken over or Hitler wouldn't have been stopped.

Also, you obviously don't know what you're talking about. This is about YOUR GOVERNMENT taking control of YOUR INTERNET RIGHTS, not the rest of the world. The usa can't stop the world from accessing sites, they can only control their own people. But they could shut down american based servers if it came down to it, but that is nothing considering they could move their server out of the usa with a click of a button, and then your GOVERNMENT would just block YOU AMERICANS from accessing those sites. Even though you could still proxy to access them.
This has nothing to do with anything the usa has done in the past. Your government has done a lot of stupid things, and guess what, they're not done yet, they will only continue to do stupid shit and the world will continue to hate and laugh at the usa because of this. The usa needs to mind their own country for a while, being in major debt, having millions of homeless and those in poverty. Just go read the amendments, maybe you'll understand a bit more about what your government is planning.

Russia was Germany's biggest threat, not the usa. You obviously didn't pay attention in school either. Russia was an ally of Germany untill the US joined to war. They acctually both attack Poland within days of each other and split the land. The only reason that the Axis demise came about was the fact that the US Army made Germany fight a split war. If Russia would have fought the entire might of the German Army they would have been destroyed, the same as if the Wesern front powers had to fight the entire Army.
Back to the bill, as I read it the powers only encompass streaming sites. I may be mistaken beacause I did not read the whole bill. But as far as I can tell file sharing should not be interfered with. And for all of the Canadians who like to claim that the US should stay out of other peoples buisness, name a major conflict that the US has been in that Canada also wasn't in. I had dinner with Canadian's in both Iraq, and Affghanistan. Just saying.

ok anex i know your not German i was just stating and if you did learn anything from history if the us didnt join in WWII then hitler would have taken over that side of the world and the reason why we joined was b/c of the japs and to say we didn't turn the tides we did or do you not call us storming the beaches on d day and taking over key places so that others could come in turning the tides we didn't just go ok the japs hit our ships let go get a bomb that we have yet to invent right now and drop it no we had to make it but plan fact America changed the tide of war. go learn some fucking history.
