yep. westboro baptist church, who picketed michael jackson's funeral and steve jobs' funeral also plan on picketing joe paterno's. being a college football fan, i'm straight up outraged about it. yeah, he should've taken the issue to the police, but the man changed the lives of so many young men in his career for the better, and nobody in their right mind would say anything negative about JoePa. the guy's a legend, not only at penn state but across the country for what he did on and off the field for those he coached. let the guy rest in peace, he's had enough to deal with. anyway, their website is called godhatesfags.com if anyone wants to check it out...i mean really, how can people log in to such an ignorantly named website daily and feel good about themselves? i can just imagine my grandma getting emails from "[email protected]". just thought i'd get a pair of pennies out there.

On the same token, I would not get close to that campus with a bad word about JoePa right now. JoePa was a great man, and in time his legacy will be what he stood for with his players and the wins he got. I would like to express my great displeasure at your actions, especially your upcoming picketing of the funeral of Joe Paterno. But before I get to that, let's talk about your website name. "Godhatesfags.com." If you want to name it after sins, you could also go with "GodHatesEatingPork.com" or "GodHatesWomenWithoutHats.com" or "GodHatesMixedFabrics.com." This is not to mention that one of the 10 commandments is to never take the Lord's name in vain...and putting His name right next to the word "hate" is a great way to break your covenant via that commandment. Also if you knew anything about the Bible, you would know it preaches not to follow blindly, as you may be mislead from the path of righteousness, therefore blindly following even the Bible without taking the world at large into consideration is more against the Bible than any sin. Yet it seems that's exactly what you intend on doing.

Back to the subject of Mr. Paterno's funeral, what gives YOU the authority to judge whether a man should go to Heaven or Hell? Who gave YOU the authority to determine that he or anyone else shouldn't be granted peaceful passage into the afterlife? If you look at Paterno's resume, his philosophy in coaching, you'll see that things he did were in the best interests of his players both on and off the field. He turned boys into men, destined to succeed. I'll be the first to say he should've gone to the police with the data he had, but one mistake does not a sinner make. We all make mistakes in our lives, and sometimes they do define us. However, Paterno's flawless reputation of character for decades before this incident should be what defines him, and you have no right, not under God or country to tell any man or his family that he doesn't deserve a peaceful rest, and trying to do so is usurping God's authority, which as you should know is one of the worst possible sins.

I understand that you will not reply to this message. You will not treat it with dignity, you may print it out and urinate on it. You will sit there, closed-minded as the blindest of the blind, calling me a heretic, a fag-lover, a sinner. You will look down upon this letter with some Holier-Than-Thou smug look on your face that assures you that no matter how ignorant and blind you truly are, you will always feel superior to me. I know you're thinking that I'm being ridiculous right now, blaspheming even, because my beliefs are different from yours. Were Jesus' teachings not against the established norm? Were those who had him executed not as closed-minded as you are being right now? So go right ahead. Delete this message. I dare you. You can't let anyone expose all the wrongdoings of your establishment, especially not some heretical, blaspheming 19 year old kid. But you and I will know the truth. You're afraid.
