This is one of those situations where ipv6 would really help.

Explain. As I don't see how it would possibly make a difference. The internal addresses themselves would still be routed to a single external be it 4 or 6. You would still have to request a single static IP for the other client from the ISP, which you can do on IPV4.

If it were me and I was in a situation like such, I would have directed the traffic from that internal client out to a temporary proxy / open VPN.

He didn't realize that some of here at ibis were slick enough to catch on. Maynard, 1-3 I agree with. I love skyrim. However, please note no where did I say he was actually playing skyrim. I Trusted him (big mistake) and never checked up on it and I went to stay at a friends house and had come home only about 2 hours before he was banned. Apparently, he never even opened the damn box. Number 4 of your points basically proves he IS a hacker. He is too good. Your point number 5: He lied. Blatently and openly lied to you to try and cover why he was so good, and I agree: it was impossible unless he was talking about playing on his account a few years ago. I will also add that this will never happen again because he is now banned from my Internet and once he leaves next week, he probably won't be coming back.

exactly... told him that in steam chat lol. he then tried claiming his "brother" said he was aimbotting... but the demo clearly shows he wasn't. headshot ratio is higher than normal due 2 him knowing when people are going 2 pop up, not cause he had aimbot. so the fact his "brother" is lying about what hacks he used... well... that's just funny.

I never said I agree those are permanent-ban type points, only that they are good points if you didn't understand what happened. If you read carefully, everything is explained. I don't see how I dug myself a hole by addressing concerns that Maynard had. Someone uses an account to hack and cheat on your IP be it you or not, you and all accounts are banned. There is no circumstantial, that's how it works here. It is your responsibility to secure your connections, who you let use them, and how they do that. That is all.

Im sorry. but when I am in a dorm where 20 people hook up to the same router. You dont know who is who on that IP. IP is not a person. ipv6 will change to atleast IP is a certan machine, not a possble machine of 20, but its still not a person.

Let me rephrase what I ment: I agree with the basic points behind them, being skyrim is addicting, but my brother never even installed it which makes those points useless because he was playing CSS instead of skyrim which I allowed him to use my pc for only. I never logged in because I knew how addicting skyrim was/is and I figured my brother would really enjoy playing it for a while and I didn't really NEED the computer, so I let him have it for a few days.
