Leave of absence from the ZM server

I will be taking a leave of absence from the ZM server. Don't know for how long but its needed.

lately play time in the ZM server has been nothing but being admin. I don't get anymore play time. There is really nothing wrong with the server, but things do need to be fixed. Everything that does need to be fixed is listed in the forums by many great ZM players.

Zero and IBIS clan members, this is nothing personal against you guys. All three IBIS servers are really great to play on. I just wished the clan members would have been in ZM more often.

As for all the regs and players who have become my friends, it will be missed cading it up with you guys. but it hasn't been the same. maybe time off from CS:S is what I need to get back in the mix.

I'll still be in the forums, but I won't be admin in the ZM server anymore. I'm pretty sure the current admins will take really great care of the ZM server. Good luck guys your gonna need it and don't take any bullshit from anyone.

It was fun while it lasted. Hopefully I'll be back and the new batch of admins won't be such dickheads.

and with no mute on the zmod server that makes it intolerable enough, and with parachutes enabled zombies just stumbe over people who are just trying to hide IE: me so I can't do anything but cade with these assholes
(maybe if they we're disabled for cading maps it would be alright but it isn't in its current state)

and the scoring system is far too forgiving now, 10 kills is 40 points instead of 15 maybe 20 points, now anyone can become the top dog without any real effort.

Last night I muted Jojo. Next map Autumn muted her, she avoided the mute and was banned. One less mic spammer for awhile.

But I know what your saying Kavinsky.. The only ones left who regularly come on now are lukey, hobo, me, and maybe 2-3 others. I'm usually in spec 70% of the time, like you mentioned.

I miss a lot of all you guys i remember my first stepping in ther server waiting an ass load of time for the models to finish like i remember mastagunzs camping in the tubes with shotgun in winterfun or james making a epic cade. I miss the old times but it does change. I remember my 1 year or 9 month disappearance from z mod because i was playing another game mod. Also i was absent because of a really fun minigame server. I miss so many of teh regs though but i'm not down for the count. But what really confabulates me is what happened to the kid admin M.I.A. Slasher he was good. But i still don't know what the outcome of that poll though for slasher. But i am 11 to tell the truth no bullshit and i don't fucking break cades like other kids do. Also i don't use my mic i like to type for some odd reason. You thought i is dead but i is waiting to cook something up :) . Like pizza i don't know.

You can't use your admin to play favorites, bully and have bitch-fests on voice, and expect people to stay. The group you're excluding, alienating or pissing off won't return and maybe some of them were friends with your friends or even those you like incognito. Social networks are big webs. You start poking out holes and the whole thing collapses eventually.

Meanwhile, you push alway all the adults with your childish antics and now you're stuck with what you call a "kid fest". Well, DUH!

I may be done with the ZM server but I never said I was done with IBIS or the forums.

Like I said before mallissin stop fucking complaining about every god damn little problem and contribute something to get it fixed. Mastergunz is right, all you do even in game and in here, is bitch and complain.

Seriously your suppose to be one of the "old" players that people would like to see come back. With this attitude that you've come back with, I'm glad I've stepping away from the ZM server. New friends? I try that every day, and most of them literally are a bunch of idiots, no offense.

The admin abuse? Your idea of abuse is me slapping myself up so I can get a view of things and observe in escape maps such as jarasic park to watch for people who blow up the bridge killing everyone. 90% of the people that play ZM would say I'm a good admin along with Holy and Inthebutt, who are now gone, and me being among the most active. The only other admins that are really playing much at the moment are ceiling cat and Res, along with mastagunz on the weekends.

1. THE MUTE MOTHERFUCKING FEATURE BACK

2. new maps every month or so, and a poll on the front page of ibis gaming asking what out of 10 of the worst rated maps do you want removed

3. a system that automatically disables the parachutes for cade maps.

4. a system that switches people who are fast zombies to some sort of escape map substitute thats slower than the fast and less maneuverable but still faster than the other classes, and the same sort of thing for the jumpers on atix so they can't prenuke.

5. voteban, votekick and votemute

and mastercheff the way kick ass in the zmod is to keep up a 5 to 1 ratio, for every time you get tagged you take 5 people with you, thats how I did it with the old stats system and got from 190 to 3rd.

Ok.... I'd like to say this is my opinion and meant to be taken constructively (if you try and flame me for anything I say... I wont care and probably wont even respond) I make this post out of respect for a new generation of Zombie mod players that seem to be having the same troubles I had a little while back.

1.) People will always come and go from zombiemod that's just a fact of life. Enjoy the friends you've made here and the times you spent cading, escaping, killing, and tagging. Life goes on and so will the IBIS ZM server.

Its funny you guys list all these regs that don't play here anymore and I'm not trying to upset anyone but 85% of these people Ive never even seen or playd with a few times back in the day. Most of these players joined ZM in the last 6 months (while I was away) and are already gone... playing here even 40+ hours a week for 4-6 months (while still great!) does not make you a long time player. Maybe Im just to old but where on your list are Killer B (#1player before Pooter), Blue Devil, Pooter, Sid Vicious, Ice [worm], Stamp, Cujo, Oarngecutie, Vicious, Steamer, Death, Space Groceries, Hotwings, Reaper?

2.) Oh and for the record yes 80% of zombie mod players are idiots and kids... this fact will NEVER and I mean NEVER change. Thats why its hard for IBIS Clan to take ZM players seriously. It doesnt mean we are all brain dead (sucks to be the minority but get used to it). Dont let this detract you from having fun they are easy kills and good for a laugh from time to time.

3.) I respect almost all admins that are currently on and this is gonna probably be the one that pisses people off (please understand Im just trying to give a little history). Stoping your admin is fine if your tight on cash or just dont have the time to play anymore... but UNDERSTAND THIS... Stopping your admin does not hurt the server. Everyone on here is important to Zero!!! Ive been shocked at how many times he has taken the time out of his busy day just to chat or handle a simple problem of mine. Yet leaving the server will not in itself change ZM you are of more good staying than leaving... You may go but others will just take your place. I'm not going to go into all the details but Im sure most of you have heard of a split that occured in ZM a little while back with the group [GS-ZM] about 6-8 admins left all at once in one single month... and do you know what it did to the server? Nothing. Serveral people where there right away to purchase admin and take up the fight for good players.

4.) Please stop attacking eachother its just embarassing... We are all here to have fun on Zombie mod. Is it really worth all the cuts and jabs? If your life is so bad take it out on the zombies and rule breakers... not eachother. Can we please take all this energy we are investing on flame wars and start focusing it towards making the servers better.

If complaining about someone doing something wrong isn't helpful, then how would someone know they were doing something wrong? Is not a warning an act of complaint? Is this thread not meant to complain about those complaining? You're annoyed people are criticizing you for doing things you're not suppose to be doing and that's the real reason your lil group is having a hissy fit. Except you're not brave enough to face the criticism openly, you hide it under this "things were better before" facade and you act like you're taking it personally.

But why hide it? Because you know you're wrong. The things you guys do wrong are literally spelled out in the rules. The fact none of you do it when Whyt or Rico visited the server says loads. Other's notice it, get annoyed but say nothing openly because they're willing to grin and bare it. I'm not one of those people.

I was an admin for quite a stretch and I encouraged people to complain on the forums if any admin was acting inappropriately (even myself, ask Vlad). It let Zero and the rest of IBIS in on what was happening on the servers. I don't see this happening anymore. Groups of admins on GG and ZM stick together right or wrong, making it seem fruitless to complain. Those that do, get singled out and baseless accusations thrown at them to bury their complaint.

This is not a healthy behavior for a community, and while you say my opinion doesn't matter because I left, I never felt like I left it. I played with members of the community in other games, and returned ever so often to get my fix.

As Vlad wisely said above, people will come and go, but some return. I'd like my old friends to not regret returning, and if that means I need to butt heads with newer members that are destroying the community, then I will.

If one of these admins doesn't feel comfortable playing on a server I frequent because I'm there, then that says more for their behavior than mine, doesn't it?

Kavinsky's hatred of me started out from me playing the "Chocolate!" sounds on the ZM server more than he liked, so my best guess is his anger is in fact rooted from the game.

I have never disrespected anyone openly on the server, nor is complaining a form of disrespect and while you guys seem to say complaining is not constructive then all you've proven is your own juvenile hypocrisy.

If complaining about someone doing something wrong isn't helpful, then how would someone know they were doing something wrong? Is not a warning an act of complaint? Is this thread not meant to complain about those complaining? You're annoyed people are criticizing you for doing things you're not suppose to be doing and that's the real reason your lil group is having a hissy fit. Except you're not brave enough to face the criticism openly, you hide it under this "things were better before" facade and you act like you're taking it personally.

But why hide it? Because you know you're wrong. The things you guys do wrong are literally spelled out in the rules. The fact none of you do it when Whyt or Rico visited the server says loads. Other's notice it, get annoyed but say nothing openly because they're willing to grin and bare it. I'm not one of those people.

I was an admin for quite a stretch and I encouraged people to complain on the forums if any admin was acting inappropriately (even myself, ask Vlad). It let Zero and the rest of IBIS in on what was happening on the servers. I don't see this happening anymore. Groups of admins on GG and ZM stick together right or wrong, making it seem fruitless to complain. Those that do, get singled out and baseless accusations thrown at them to bury their complaint.

This is not a healthy behavior for a community, and while you say my opinion doesn't matter because I left, I never felt like I left it. I played with members of the community in other games, and returned ever so often to get my fix.

As Vlad wisely said above, people will come and go, but some return. I'd like my old friends to not regret returning, and if that means I need to butt heads with newer members that are destroying the community, then I will.

If one of these admins doesn't feel comfortable playing on a server I frequent because I'm there, then that says more for their behavior than mine, doesn't it?

The "lil group" I'm talking about is Holy, inthebutt and Res. They are the epitome of the type of admin that worries me.

I have no plans on becoming an admin again until the reason I stopped being one is resolved. Immature players should not be allowed to have admin, nor any account that will have an immature player accessing it. There should be more to getting admin than just handing over $11 a month. Since there isn't, there will always be admins abusing their powers because they have no respect for it. They feel it's more a premium subscription to use to their advantage or their friends, and not an act of volunteerism.

Until then, I'm willing to help out by paying for a reserve spot and offering suggestions like I have always done.

As far as Holy's accusations, I've never joined a clan, so no, I was not in GT-ZM and I don't even know anyone in it.

As far as not understanding why you left in January, anyone can read the thread I posted and notice it has nothing to your "computer pissing you off". And as far as other revisions to history you cared to share, there is far more admin abuse now. I based this off reading through the Admin Abuse section and talking to other regulars. It all adds up to more abuse than when even Rodrigo was an admin which is tough to beat. Here's a quick tally of admin abuse claims by month.

I will say this. The last couple times Ive been on jojo is still annoying and shouldnt be up at 3 CST in the morning, and there was another new annoying chick admin that decided to slap herself up in beachstrike so no one would get her trying to be funny.
