Where, what were you doing, and what did you see when you heard about 9/11
I was in Brooklyn crossing the bridge to see the WTC, when I saw the first plane hit, I saw the second plane hit, I witnessed people jumping and falling to there deaths from the top floors.
and I forgot to mention I was a fucking 5 year old

i was in school, and they said "theres an emergency, students are going home" and i was like "eh probly nothing" got home, turned on the news, and you can guess the rest. a short time later my dad called and desribed hearing a bunch of noise and sirens, which he found out later was the plane hitting the pentagon. i'm puttin up my american flag today. god bless america

I was in Elementary school in art class, the teacher turned on the live news feed of the first tower burning and then we saw the second tower get hit and she turned it off.
I've been watching the History channel all day, it's really sad :(

I was getting ready for school (wes coast time so the first plane hit already) and all I hear is my grandmother yelling THE BASTARDS HIT US OMG THEY HIT US!
My uncle is a firefighter for Colcester Ct. They were called in for the WTC crisis..
This is also the day I vowed myself to help protect this country.

I rather not talk about 9/11 on the internet, to many people think its a conspiracy

You would rather not but you mention it first.... Meh I was in high school, PE when it happened, we didn't get sent home early though. We watched it on the news.

haha that was my first thought too.
Senior year English class. Learning about some author... and then the health teacher knocked on the next room and said "their bombing us!" Watched the news the rest of the school day. My friend was also suppose to start work around the area... but she woke up late... lucky.

Yeah, there was a nice discussion about that last year.
I would rather not get into one of those stupid debates again.
I was in middle school when they hit. Didn't see anything live, just the aftermath. At first I thought it was some private plane that landed on a single story office building. When I saw the towers I couldn't believe it.

I was working overnights at the time, and my wife at the time, called and woke me up and said a plane crashed into the world trade center tower, and I thought she was joking and I said bullshit.
I turned the news on in time to see the 2nd plane crash into the 2nd building and I knew at that point that this country and world would never be the same again, and what we've seen up to this point is only the beginning. It's going to get worse
A sad day for all.

then get the fuck out of the thread
i was in 5th grade, walking through the halls coming back from gym. my teacher stopped us in the stairwell and told us we were going to go in and turn on the TV, and when we got to the room, the principle came rushing in and told our teacher not to turn the TV on, she asked why, and he just said "the other one too"...
i didn't actually find out something was wrong until i got home.

kav, as i sat in long ass lines all weekend doing SRP. (pretty much getting all the paper work done and making sure you are "depolable" for your upcoming deployment) i thought hard about people like you. here i am praying and feeling an overwhelming sense of sadness for the people who lost there family members and soldiers who lost there lives over seas reacting to that day and i thought people like you do not deserve to even live in our country if you cant find it in your self to even take a moment of silence.
that statement just put you below every defining word used to describe a true American.

I just dont care anymore and the ripple effect of paranoia and stupid shit that we have to do just to take a flight pisses me off, not to mention the war that stemmed from this shit.
is it sad yes, but the negative stuff that came out of it is the stuff you should be talking about because of this and at this rate we're fast approching an orwellian like world in alot of ways with this paranoia and crap, hell I'm wondering when the McCarthy trials are going to start up again along with the blacklist.
and it CAN happen again, it just takes a catalyst.

or maybe he just dosnt understand that all that "STUPID" shit we have to do just to take flight is pretty much over and when it was, it was only to help prevent anything like that happening again.
Kav, what about people doing there job to keep civilians safe pisses you off?
you should be THANKING them.. not criticizing them, but then again you are a old coot who is ungrateful for the little things.
