hey guys, this is a motion to have all new admins restricted of their perma ban AND their unban (of someone banned by another admin).
because apparently the newbie admins are not bothering to read the TOS, and some are unbanning people that i banned myself or other admins have... yes i have proof, but not gonna post it as admin abuse because they are NEW, and they have been warned...
they dnt know any fucking better. but to make life easier i am trying to eliminate that "non-trust" from the roots,
so please, can new admin NOT be able to unban other admins' victims and not be able to perma ban for the first 2 months of admins???

this should btw cut moderators' work by half since less abuse threads will show up!

make them take a quiz. 50 questions, presente as questions about TOS and "what would you do?" situations. if they score less than a 60% DENY, between 60-75%, restrict powers for probation, above 75% fine.

when the new system comes out regular admins will not be able to perma ban and will only be able to unban players that they themselves banned. There will also be clear and simple tracking visible on the web to see what the admins are doing. Once I get back I will be working hard to get the new site and admin system up asap. The test run will be launched on the wcs test server when ready.

also i did like aco's idea btw, i thought of a TOS/what_would_zero_do quiz lol, makes sure everyone read the tos!
or at least, to add to the TOS a "scenario" list, and how to treat different situations, specially with ppl repeatedly breaking simple rules.

I have no problem with that and any others that may be implemented, but just judging from the regular use of bad grammar here methinks something would be foul affoot in that department.

I'm looking forward 2 this.... cause all these new admins on WCS are destroying it with there constant paranoia of hacks and inability 2 catch actual hackers.... hopefully when it happens more qualified people will be able 2 prevent wrongful bannings and drama

i am tiered of people warding spawns, objective or fucking camping im about to the point of slaying then ban b/c its the same people evry time and we always tell them to stop

I'm on quite a lot.... and the warding of objectives doesn't happen that often.and when it does it's generally a harmless mistake that someone new 2 the server has made..

if someone is repeatedly warding the objective, then it's simple, ban them for a short time. once again though... not sure when or where you're seeing this issue. also warding your own spawn at anytime is fair game, as is warding the ENEMY spawn after the first 20 seconds of the match.

i mean like warding your spawn when your by hosties. so that if you get there walk in and boom your dead.

I think taking steps to ensure new admins can't screw up horribly is a good idea.

Having said that, it'll be a week before I hit the 2 month mark, but I think I've done fairly well so far. I just don't permaban or unban unless there's a very, very, VERY good reason. :P That makes avoiding this whole mess easy. :)

sounds great i also heard that current admins will be ranked, and seniority wont be about who was in the server first, but more about the higher ranking admin.
if thats the case i think it would be cool to have the tags of our admin status under our name in the forums as well, this will help new people to know who to listen too.

you'll basically apply for the position. there will be requirements though, like 6 months no abuse claims, and 6months of active admin before you can apply (numbers are just guesses, zero hasn't decided on the official numbers yet) Zero then decides who gets the senior admin. the senior admin will ALWAYS be senior admin and have the ability 2 override bans... and punish admins if they're fucking around and not following the TOS... it's a great idea. will help keep things running smoothly.
