Yesterday I took a big fall on my wakeboard while on the lake, and i woke up a minute later after headbutting my board. Then I stumbled inside and fell asleep on my massive couch. I woke up and my Gf was asleep on my bed and the clock
Said 12 pm. Then it hit me, I had chronic arthritis pain in my hands, a massive headache, and loss of balance. Ive also had Mild dihareeah throughout the day. Its 7:03 now, and everything you just read is all I remember from yesterday to
today.

probably just a major concussion. go get it checked out anyways, there could be some swelling or bleeding that is effecting this.

if it ever happens again, never go to sleep after you've had a concussion, there's a chance you could go into a coma.

Yea, luckily you survived going to sleep never do that after having any sort of head injury. You should get it checked out as any possibly swelling could also cause blood clots to be thrown. For major stuff like that it is always a good idea to have it checked out to be safe :wtg:

Good Luck

Sounds like you lost electrolytes, primarily salt, which is why you might be feeling something like arthritis. The massive headache and loss of balance can both be due to dehydration/head exhaustion. If you've been sweating a lot and it's been hot and what not, my suggestion to you is to drink some vitamin water and take in water slowly.

Otherwise, I sincerely suggest what Zero said. Get checked out.

That's just my assessment from an EMT's standpoint though. In other words, don't take my word for it, go see a doc.

Having a little sport medicine knowledge I would have to aree with everyone. My guess is you can't remember your head actually hitting the board but someone told you. You also probally had/have a massive headache and more than likely your upset stomache is really a feeling like you have to puke. Go to a doc and get it checked out tonight.

Shit so that is why my hand was killing me the other day. I had drank a lot the night before but was sure to drink a half gallon or so of water so I was fine the next morning but my hand was killing me. Well now I know to stock up on a bit of vitamin water with electrodes next time. :banghead:

snacks help too. especially pretzels or chips. anything that has salt in it.

What I always found funny is that I drink the most when on vacation in the DR; however, it never effects me the next morning no matter what. Beyond even having hangover or not I will be perfectly rested and ready to go within 8 hours. The key is that before bed I not only make sure that I have a lot of water but also eat some German pretzels and or have wiener schnitzel. Logically to I start the next morning with 2-3 glasses of chinola juice. :smirk:

Actually someone can sleep but should be woken up periodically a check for symptoms. exp: If you are woken up and have a serious attitude, thats a warning sign.

To add to this thread, friday evening I was at a friends house and told them i'd go for a quick spin on quad. I went up a trail, crested a small hill, and at about 40 mph hit a washout full of water. Needless to say I flew off my quad, fucked up my knee and smacked my head on the ground I can only assume I was unconscious for 10-15 mins... When I come too i tried to stand up and my left knee gave out, so I hopped onto my quad and went back to my friends house hunched over in pain. grade 2 sprain in my left knee and im on crutches now. I couldnt remember anything from that day or the previous days. had it all messed up. luckily my friends were about to go check on me because I was gone for 30 mins they said. I wasnt more than a mile away. Also luckily I had my helmet on.

Now im sitting infront of the computer on a sunday evening telling you the story :P
