    Been a long time coming.

    "cyber" demo - list of times balto (dj boomdoggy) goes by long a: 51000 no look, 55800 no look, 61000 no look, 65900 no look, 70500 no look, 74800 looks there to follow someone he had just seen (n/a), and finally 81000. HOLY BALLS trace PLUS he doesnt rush in for the first time and there's 2 in there for the first time, i make NO sound, he kills 1 then proceeds to prefire on me, looking behind that box for the first time. this is the tick that made a believer out of me. he breaks 2 patterns here...1) he doesnt rush in FOR THE FIRST TIME, and 2) not only looks behind that box for the first time but also prefires!

    58000 britney tick (looks to the back, impossible to see britney but displays knowledge that she's there and switches to scout to shoot her better from range. distracted by nebula, back to scout because he knows she's there. window shot at 59800 is sick...but whatevs. note 68000 he doesn't do that peek behind that box in the back as he did on britney.


    "cyber_is_a_jew" demo - tick 16000 is the only one of note really. he looks at the wall at long a and traces a guy. he should be looking at the opening, but he isn't. not only that, but he keeps correcting his aim to stay away from the opening. not strong on its own but it fits his odd pattern that someone of his apparent skill level shouldn't display. COMPARE THIS TICK TO 81000 FROM CYBER DEMO...NOTE THE PATTERN.


    "balto_8k" demo - tick 8000 on vaga...possible excuses: 1) deag had a lace, gave away his position [deag did not have a lace though, see spasm's evidence to follow] 2) deag showed up on radar while balto was teleporting [if he had, balto would've known exactly where deag was, and knowing he had overshot deag, would not have wasted time looking around like a moron. if balto knew from radar, he would've tele'd, gotten right out, and gone to kill deag. that's not the case, indicating deag did not show up on radar] 3) balto just guessed right. unlikely, as if balto was guessing, he wouldn't have sat invis for a while, he would've gotten out and started shooting at the common spots. if he was guessing by looking for deag's name or for him to show up on radar, he would've done that instead of essentially prefiring deag. all 3 of those explanations don't stand up.

    31500...oh so NOW he can't find the vaga? also note...balto's typically good at finding vagas, but NEVER EVER EVER ONCE USES HIS FLASHLIGHT TO DO SO. why?

    many times throughout the demo, he looks down bridge. he may shoot a few times, kill one person, and then moves on to a different spot. (i think 19.5k, 27k, 40k, plenty more). he's playing jack properly. shoot and move. 52700 comes along...he has no way of knowing a guy is behind the box to the left. shoots some, one guy gets away, following his pattern he should move on. but he stays! traces several times, most notably at 53450, keeps his crosshair trained on the left, waiting for that person to come out. even switches to scout. he stays much longer than any other time, crosshair trained waiting for that guy, without any indication that anyone's there. not even looking over the box on the right as he normally does.


    "balto_1_22" demo - tick 45700 watch it full speed, no drawothermodels. DAMN HE SHOOTS FAST. now full speed, with drawothermodels. DAMN HE SAW THAT DUDE COMING. but this is where it gets tricky...sourcetv playermodels can be off of their actual locations. at any point in the demo, you can drag the playspeed slider to 0. then toggle the pause/resume button. you can see everyone jumping back and forth. using that as a guide, let's assume that the amount that the playermodels is off is equal to how different their positions while paused differ from when the demo is playing regularly. spasm and i looked over this, in the paused playermodel view, you get the first glimpse of the enemy right on tick 45882. balto's trigger finger moves at tick 35890. this is giving balto the MOST POSSIBLE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. without the pause method, it's perfectly simultaneous. anyway that's an 8 tick mark difference. this is a 67 (66.6666666) tick server, meaning there are 66.67 ticks/sec. by that math, balto's reaction time was 8 ticks/66.67 ticks/sec = 0.12 seconds. olympic athletes clock in around 0.16 ( The mean reaction times for sprinters at the Beijing Olympics were 166 ms for males and 189 ms for females, source - wikipedia ). go ahead and test yourself with a more applicable test, seeing how fast you can click after seeing a change on the screen ( http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime/ ). you're probably around 0.2 seconds most of the time (my average in 5 attempts was 0.21 for reference). balto, giving him maximum benefit of the doubt, was at a damn near superhuman 0.12 seconds, and that's just from when you can see the first sliver of the enemy...not from hearing a gunshot, not from seeing a color change...from seeing a few pixels. that's DAMN good eyes, and basically superhuman reactions...or he's walling. which would you believe? a few more questionable ticks in that demo minor traces, nothing worth serious note though.

    ADDENDUM: the method used above where we pause the demo and the enemies jump forward may be disregarded, as doing so also makes the player you're watching jump forward. i think this makes the case even more valid, as we can't even give him that benefit of the doubt.


    "balto_1_23" demo - tick 70000 (continue til he dies), he sees the T longjump back into underpass after his teammates die. logically, this T is going to retreat back towards spawn, maybe try tunnels. balto, to counter this, goes through tunnels, out to the left...but wait, he doesn't even check back towards spawn until he passes underpass, and only then to turn and go down into underpass. this is an illogical and unsafe move, and somehow he knows right where this person is, and knows that he didn't leave underpass. somehow. has trouble seeing the guy it seems, either hiding the hack or thought he was on the other side of the box. but that's not the crazy tick

    tick 79300. this one requires little explanation. zipping towards the bombsite, he knows EXACTLY where the guy is to the left of the ramp. goes over him, then drops down RIGHT on top of him. this guy was not on radar, was not making any noise. at 100% speed. balto's going way too fast to see this guy. 50%, still no way to see him even if i'm focusing on the bottom left corner of my screen. 33% speed, if i'm focusing on the very bottom left corner (yeah why would you be doing that again?) i can see a sliver of one of this guy's arms in one or 2 frames. 33% is the first time i can see him. try to find this enemy at 100%, i triple dog fucking dare you. note: if we assume scribble's right about the type of hacks being used here, this tick fits PERFECTLY.

    "balto_office07_hallways_streak" demo (from cyber...obviously) -
    3k hall reference (these reference ticks are not hacks ticks, but pattern reference for a hacks tick later on)
    4100 coincidental wall trace (why not aim at window or garage?)
    10k keeps crosshair on invis vaga?
    11k sudden stop in middle of game (this color means weird shit that a good player doesn't normally do)
    15k hallway reference
    18500 granted a teammate was shooting grits in spawn (radar), balto goes out of window and shootd AT THE WALL, exactly where gritd was before teleporting... Even if someone is there, the least u can do is camp opening, not shoot wall... And then he immediately stops shooting as soon as grits tele'd because in wireframe he disappeared BEFORE going through doors

    23-25.5 whats with all the wall-strafing? Wolf conveniently Other side of that hall
    27k-29k for a player of balto's caliber, he's not keeping his crosshair at middle entrance, but at the wall when roudin corners, perhaps to trace ppl and toggle off later?

    45-47.5 (Holy fuckballs of good wallhacks/esp ticks.)
    watch WITHOUT wireframe first at 100% speed.
    He conveniently knows that there's more than that 1 guy when he shouldnt.
    First of alll notice how he broke pattern to reference points above, instead of falling back and leaving from other side after killing the flame pred, this time he stays and kills the Molecule (thas fine bcos as far as he knows, he saw him there). But again, he doesn't fallback fully this time, why? he just sits there still aiming at that door, and conveniently enough someone else pops around that door.
    For me personally, after Killing 3 people in that hallway, thats usually when i let my guard down and call it a day because the odds of having the LAST 3+ PPL in same entrance is almost negligeable towards end of round.

    But noooo thats not enough, he starts WALKING towards that door, slowly and steadily trying to waste time (probably for his ultimate to kick in) but always watching that entrance, and then he circles the door with his crosshair conveniently pointed at the last guy (a guy that could have been anywhere on the map, and at least on either side of this door as far as he knows...) but surely enough, at a few milliseconds after the ultimate sound is heard, balto shoots ( brings me back to brett's demo about fast reflexes btw) an gets the kill.

    U have this gut feeling that something fishy happened and u're still convinced? FINE , keep reading.

    Now stop, roll back to tick 45k and watch in wireframe this time at 10-20% speed if u have to. The vaga kill is legit, molecule kill too, heck even the third guy was crouched (assuming it was totally legit that balto kept camping in the first place, and pretending that balto tracing his crouched ass through wall was a coincidence), but the VERY LAST KILL is totally bs.

    And in wireframe u can see why balto waited for the 4rd guy to come out crouching, its because after killing the 2nd guy (molecule), there's a tick where, ONLY IN WIREFRAME, u can think someone walked past the room (balto surely traces him when u cant see him in normal view and starts prepping for someone walking through door, semi-traces crouched guy through left wall). But as we all know, in normal view, that "ghost" tick never happened in normal view (i watched it 5 times without wireframe at 2%: speed the enemy completely walks from side to side fully stealthed and balto is not supposed to see him). So as far as balto should know, he killed the molecule and that should have been the end of it.

    But again, in wireframe u'd see that there were in fact TWO more ppl not 1, not zero behind that wall.


    And now for the HOLY SHIT moment: for the last guy, he starts walkin towards the door, TRACES THE ENEMY (grits) who is WALKING not running, stops for a sec to waste time and pre-aim, lean left to take cover and not be seen coming through door, swivel as close to door as possible and shoot a few milliseconds after ulti is heard. Keep in mind that the ulti sound is no excuse bcos balto was already walking, tracing and turning before ulti kicked in. Which was clearly a break in pattern above. Hell, i had to listen to that tick 4 times in a row just to see who's ultimate kicked in first, balto's or grits, because they were super close to eachother to make a difference.
    So i call walls on this one.



    50k again with facing the walls
    68k i think he realised he fucked up at tick 46k bcos if u kept watching till now, he tones down his gameplay and starts checking every corner this time as in (oh yeah i always play safe on this map) and he completely misses a clear as day shot on the human in the bush (by clear as day, i mean he traces him, stays on him , and his name popped up).. but surely enough, balto moves away without engaging moves away... What the? This is coming from the guy whose crystal balls made him predict there could be FOUR ppl in hallway earlier? the same guy in the demos above with remarkable attention span?

    Again i think it was an intentional skip.


    Because he then comes back to it at 68800 and aims directly at the same spot ( a spot he already checked and 'found nthn') and this time he starts shooting at it before a name pops up or human shoots, what changed this time balto?? Again, not as sharp reflexes as b4, he's toning it down.


    72k reference hallway. Notice that this time he recreates a movement ALMOST identical to 45k, trying to throw us off and pretending its what he was doing every time (which we all know is not true, due to blue ticks above).
    Key differences however are the following:
    -he's recreating a movement that broke pattern the first time.
    - when he was going towards door he was pretending to check the right side of door too this time (he didnt last time), and
    - he just walks through the door and clearly faces the left side where enemies would come from, but unlike last time his movements were faster, and he didnt pause for a second around the wall while tracing the head like last time. ... Imo he's trying to throw us off because he knows we look for one-time occurences like we saw in the mistral case. (remember the brett demos of mistral on office stairs and the "fake" traces?)


    79k complete 360 turn facing 3 sides of walls??? Again, trying to spot ppl through walls from distance? god knows...



    as spasm says, a good waller will never be caught. it's just too hard to get anything to stick. this is why it's so hard to find these ticks, and these demos stretch back several months. any of these ticks can be attributed to luck but as a whole, and when you look at the patterns of his play, how he breaks them, when he breaks, the fact alone that he breaks them...i feel the evidence points to walls.

    Very sad as I can honestly say that I legitimately thought him to be one of my favourite players in the community. I've been on this for a while with Brett, Cyber and few others and I've worked and watched a lot of demos, but I'm still very sad to see this finally done. He also did admit it (in case anyone needs to see it, let me know), but I will actually miss him. Good game, Balto, good game.

    Well, it has been a fun game Ibis, and it has been a great time playing on these servers. I will surely miss making cyber rage, hearing tom call me a whore, and brett well hes brett that's all I need to say. Good job on Cyber, Brett, and Tom for sticking to it and getting me banned. No they did not force me to say this, but I will say it as it has been a good run. Thank you Ibis for letting me play on your servers as long as you did, with and without hacks. It has definitely been fun, and with this I must bid you all a sincere and loving goodbye.

    Yea sorry it took me so long to review the demos in the UA section for this to finally get posted up.

    Also I want to add that in 1_22 you can also see more walls after the initial tick cyber talks about just keep the drawothermodels on and you will see what I am talking about.
