Look its the best mic under 100 dollars. I dont care if you can (you cant) plug in a 1 dollar POS mic to a dac and get better sound. the price of a dac like that would be leaps and bounds more expensive and the POS mic would still sound bad.
A decent DAC is already in your motherboard if it was made in the last 5 years for FREE

Sound quality: 9/10. Surround sound feature is very close to having a 7.1 setup, clarity is excellent and bass levels are surprisingly deep. Mic quality: 9/10. I've had folks say it sounds great and never had a complaint. The boom is a little large for my tastes, hence the one point deduction. Comfort level: 9/10. Pads fit perfectly over my ears and are close to noise cancelling - you don't want these if you need to hear what's going on around you while gaming! They're a bit bulky though, so minus one point. Wireless reliability: 8/10 Points deducted because 'power save mode' is annoying and is the default and because you will occasionally (once every five hours) lose signal for three seconds. Note, however, that if it's plugged in via USB, it works just like a wireless headset. Battery life: 10/10. I've had five hour gaming sessions and the battery barely went below half charge.

Side note, this set is on sale regularly for $80 and is well worth that price. Beats the overpriced $250 Turtle and other 'elite' brands in my opinion in terms of quality, making the value kind of staggering.
Given how much shit I know that thing will actually sound compared to what I am using if that is a 9/10 in sound quality than what do I have 50/10. This is a fucking joke, even what I have is maybe a 7.5/10 and that is when combined with a good DAC/AMP. A fucking wireless headset could not ever in a million fucking years be better than 2/10 then you get fake marketing bs tossed in within it your kidding me.

Also did I just hear better performance from head set driver updates!? Are you telling me that these things actually effect fps now!?

Zero most people dont buy 300 plus dollar mobo. Nearly all still use Reltek.
Hell all I have is a xonar DG and thats better then my p67 pro sound, and thats higher end then most people get.
A blue snowball is the best mic your going to find under 100 bucks.

Realtek "3d" sound caused cs:s to crash constantly. It took me a year to figure out the cause as there was no technical support that solved the isssue.

Jesus Zero, did I hit a nerve? LOL It's not like I'm comparing wavelengths to determine which tweeter set will hit the highs and lows with exactly the right pitch. I'm drawing off of my own experience with headsets, both wired and wireless - and the G930 has the second best sound I've ever heard in a headset, the best sound of any 'surround' headset I've tried. Again, this is my experience and nothing more. If you've tried hundreds of headsets to determine which is 'the best,' you're certainly a more informed critic than I am.

For $80, no, you're not going to get the 'unbelievably rich and undeniably superior' performance of a Bose headset. But let's face facts - the human ear, just like the human eye, is only able to detect so much minutia in sound. Beyond a certain point, much like with screen resolution and refresh rates and frames per second, you're talking technical terms, not what it actually does to your comprehension of the sound.

I in no way suggested the headset would improve FPS. You drew that conclusion when apparently I pissed you off by endorsing my headset. LOL What I did say was that Logitech releases software updates to the headset software (which allows you to control options on the device) that periodically improve the headset's performance, not your PC's performance. I suppose I should have clarified myself a bit better.

At any rate, I recommend this headset, despite Zero's condemnation of it.

Enough with your petty squabbles! Im sticking with the 930 headset. why? so i have something wireless to set further away while watching movies or playing xbox. As far as quality headphones and a mic, my father is a professional musician, im sure he will sell me some of his stuff. talking $50,000 worth of equipment...

now, to what is most importent regarding my $4000 budget. A DESK, a very nice gaming DESK! help... i plan on having 2 laptops and a 32in TV on this desk.

To suggest a desk you would need to provide some basic information about how much space you have, location (corner, against a wall, middle of room), chair type, your height (yes this matters, do consider your health if you are going to buy something long lasting), prefence on cable management, slide out keyboard or not, etc.

A desk has become my next PC purchase as well. Sadly, I've seen nothing that appeals to me or seems geared toward 'the gaming PC user.' Everything I find in stores and online is geared toward productivity.

Long story short, I have no advice to offer. Sorry mang.

alrighty then! The only issue is that i have not yet been to where ill be moving into when i get home. lol but based off the floor plan and pictures im sure i can make it work. Im a handy guy, modifying wont be a problem. ok lets start.

The desk will need to fit in a corner.
    Pull out keyboard
Cable management would be nice but can live without it. (DIY cable management)
    My height: 5'11 / 71in
I prefer sitting in a chair that is no more then 2 feet off the ground, so that i have support for my elbows to help support my wrists while gaming.
i prefer enough room on each side of me to place things ect.
i like long walk on the beach
    my sexual orientation is straight.

Well, since I can't help with the desk, maybe I can help with the seating. If you're interested in a new chair, I HIGHLY recommend this one. Affordable, comfortable and adjustable, it rivals chairs that cost twice as much. It has done wonders for my lower back pain. My only gripe is, at least on my particular chair, sometimes the back loses its angled setting, resulting in you falling back with a sudden jolt and a necessary readjustment. Other than that, it has been perfection, and it really only happens when I lean back too quickly/with too much force.
