    I've had that happen multiple times in the past. A quick restart of the game always fixed it.

    I have also seen on steam forums that if restarting it the normal way does not correct it you need to cancel the process.

    If it's a pre-update demo it will not load. Thought we covered this. Try running a post update demo and see if you get the same thing.

    Also, did that demo play? It looks like it's trying to load models/maps and should have played?

    As Patmonster said, it's a pre-steampipe demo that can't be played with the current version of CSS.

    TLDR version - every steam update that makes changes to game/engine will either render older demos unplayable or cause visual problems if they do play.

    Apparently Valve tried to increase resilience of client/server data table mismatches so that older demos might still be able to be played, albeit with visual issues, but it wasn't enough. I find that different demos fail to play for different reasons.

    "No matching RecvTable for SendTable" suggests to me that a file/table is missing client-side rather than server-side, and I presume that a majority of the missing files preventing demos from playing aren't actually missing--they've just been moved into different directories (e.g. "custom" vs yourname) so copying the files back might help... I haven't tried it myself and this is pure speculation, so take this idea with a grain of salt!
