The reason I'm posting in this section is because this pertains to demos post-update.

After the recent CS:S update, old demos no longer work. Yay. All those demos we've been saving on those tough cases are worthless. Yay. All those old demos we've kept just in case...worthless. Yay. All demos uploaded for documentation...worthless. Yay. Unless someone can find another way to play them, and if you can then please post it here.

People have also been having problems playing new demos. This is because Valve, cuntsacks that they are, decided to change directories on us. Your cstrike folder used to be in steam/steamapps/ACCOUNT/counter-strike: source/cstrike. That location still exists, however CS:S disregards that one, and uses the new directory: steam/steamapps/common/counter-strike: source/cstrike. Some of the old demos seem to have been copied from the old directory, but of course none of them work. Not sure what the point of that was...but anyway, if you want to view demos, you'll need to put them in that folder now. I suspect the same goes for skins. What's the point of this? To piss us all off. That is all. There were no actual improvements made, no actual progress that affects us in any way, they just like to fuck things up cuz they're cunts. If you see any Valve employee in our servers, please ban them immediately, trace their IP, and send them a flaming sack of shit.

Also just wanted to point out that if you have an outdated install and run steam offline you should be able to view the demos...

most likely true, however i felt like actually playing, and only have 1 hdd so it would've been a bitch to have both

i dont fucking understand why SKINS and models and sprays and even demos are shared in between accounts...
my brother and i play with different skins and he sometimes uses my computer or i use his when mine is in the shop...
so now we're FORCED to use the same set of modifications ?

Valve, for the most part, deleted 90% of all my custom skins.

To reinstall skins:

Go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\custom

Make another folder inside. I don't care what you name it. Name it "Fuck Phil". That's what mine is called and it seems to work fine.

"Fuck Phil" is now your new cstrike folder. Install mods in this folder and it's business as usual.

If you want mutiple users you need mutiple computers. Just like the game console that steam is trying to move into with the steam box it is 1 per person not 1 per house. Everyone knows you get 1 xbox and ps3 per person...

i haven't tested this and i'm not going to, but the original directory for css is still there and there's still stuff in it. if you could copy any other necessary files to that original directory linked to your account, add it as a non-steam game...hmm...might be a way somewhere along those lines but that's your only chance.

Some reason, when I was playing all yesterday... all the gunshots I was hearing sounded like they were in a tunnel? And these were regular maps like de_dust, de_dust2, de_cbble, cs_office, etc. (bout all I ended up playing yesterday)

IDK if it's just me, and I know my headset isn't broken. Just something weird. (WCS by the way, I haven't tested on like GunGame or anything else yet)
