Both of the maps I changed to while senior (and before this bullshit went down) were voted for by the players and were ones that I hadn't played in weeks. Most of the admins, myself included, are pretty good about letting people pick the maps they want to play.

When i joined in, my line of questioning was:
1- Absolution's record (joined 3h ago) states to be in the server longer than Racist (1h ago).
2- Assumed no one banned the other based on the fact that scribble told me about those 2, and that if a kick or ban was involved he would have settled it with an admin abuse immediately from 1 admin onto another.
3- I specifically asked abso if he afk'd. He replied that he went to spec for 5 mins and by the time he came back racist had already switched the map.
4- I then ask Racist if he did his due diligences of CONTACTING the afk admin before swapping the map. He replied with No. He did not write the afk admin in spec if the admin is truly afk, or back or anything.

So I rewarded absolution with seniority because with the info I had at the time, it was possible for all we know that abso was in spec watching someone or simply had to take a goddamn dump, and Racist took seniority without following a friendly protocol of asking the other admin in spec... (note: this is a Gentlemen's agreement.)

I have to check the demo to see how long he was afk, but based on the info I had at hand at the time, racist's approach looked like a "oh he afk'd just now? ima jack his senior admin fast before he comes back and not even ask him"... which seemed unethical at the time.

Think of it this way, if you went to spec to spectate a player for example, and someone didnt even bother writing u (not even privately) to ask if u are afk without you revealing urself to be watching, and then proceeded in swapping the map on you, how would you feel?

tl;dr:
Fucking ZMod.
Stop acting like fucking kids over seniority, it's a privilege and common courtesy system among admins... Argueing PUBLICLY in the server over such a technicaly scenario (borderline set up btw...) and making ibis look like it has crappy admins that cant work together... Good job guys. Good job.

A 5 minute break to take a piss or cig or drink or internet dc compared to that amount of time ACTIVE on the server?
Just feels like someone was too hasty to jack seniority instead of working with the other admin and requesting nicely to change the map to freshen up the pace.

He blatantly lied to you on this point. There's no other way to put it. He was idle for most of the final round of Voodoo (it's a bigger demo than the forum will allow for an attachment but I'll happily upload it to an external file upload site upon request), the entirety of rooftop (15 minutes), and a few minutes of JP (after which he did come back for the first time in almost half an hour).

I can see why it would seem like that to you at the time, based on incomplete information (and Absolution's intentionally deceiving you), but the totality of the demo evidence shows that he was simply not there at all for an extended period of time and as the only other admin on I rightfully took senior. No "jacking" his senior. I'm fair about this stuff and I expect to be treated fairly in return.

I'd bet you dollars to dimes that at least 1/3rd of that time was spent idle. Because this is what he does. He sits in spec for long stretches of time and comes back when a map changes to something he wants or when he sees an opportunity to take senior.

so we don't allow people to go take a shit, make a drink or have a smoke without impacting senior admin anymore? seriously... am I missing something, cause unless zero made a new rule, he didn't abuse shit. this is simply racist pissed at him for the prior shit and trying to get him for anything he can. there's nothing wrong with an admin taking a short break to do RL shit.. never has been. if there's a new rule, please let me know of it otherwise he did nothing wrong by literally zero's own standards he set.

well I was personally told by zero a very diff timeline back in the day. this isn't a MMORPG... people have lifes, have bowels, smoke, drink, and sometimes get a phone call. to say "oh you were inactive for 5 minutes" but played the last hour or more and lose seniority is a joke.

Cyber came into the server and asked Racist if he asked me if i was afk before "assuming" that i was, and racist admitted that he did not ask me so Cyber said "Absolution is senior". I was on the phone at the time and i really like how you put this Maynard

I was senior with 3.5 hours roughly at the time and i should be allowed a phone call.... it really is a joke if i cant make a phone call without losing seniority.

The time you were senior doesn't matter. After 15 min you are done. People should allow others to take senior and not horde it. This is why I do not even take it. You children can be unbelievable at times.
