    So what the system would do is Subtract the KDR of 2 players:

    The player who is attacking has their KDR compared to the victim. This is done by subtracting the KDR of the victim from that of the attacker. If this is a positive number we know that the attacker has a higher KDR then we apply it to a formula such as:

    (0.0000000000000000002110073(X^2)) + (0.025X) - 0.025 = % to reduce DMG by

    Not unless you are doing KDR on a race by race basis. If not, this would make people play specific races even more. I'd rather see :
    better auto balance > a reset (with hopefully a future prestige system) > overleveling > new races.

    A system that is defaulted to that is turned off by 66% of votes that organizes teams into some semblance of balance. You could use KDR for this. Don't have people with high KDR on the same team. Spread the skill evenly across teams. Make it auto balance every 3 rounds in case new people join. make it illegal for people to try to game this system by going spec and forcing a normal auto balance then joining the other team.

    I don't feel that making someone brand new who has no levels have essentially 1000 hp between your idea and the current newbie bonus thing would make the game more fun.

    As you see it has a non noticeable result until the guy who is 20 and 0 is trying to kill the guy who is 3 and 5. Only the whore races are getting into the 20+ range to begin with and when users of similar KDR values are shooting each other the results are negligible. Lastly most of the whore races do not have high DPS but high DMG per hit. This type of system impacts races like that the most. The regular races are being impacted the least. The key here is that the plugin would forcefully level the playing field by literally making the game harder for better players as they noob stomp.

    I like this a lot. It wouldn't really make a huge difference to people who have a lower kdr and will make a bigger different with a huge kdr. My only concern is that if this is running as an active script wouldn't this take up a lot of cpu/ momeory bandwidth? I mean even if the script only like 50kbs we would have to times that by the number of people time the amount of times you set it to refresh. If you set it to per kill it can run a shit load of times and possibly bog down a system. I don't know what kinds of system specs you have in the background, but I thought I would just bring up this point.

    The cost of stuff like this is very low things like modifying entities ect is way way more cpu intensive. This is just running a simple formula on the damage calculation and when coded properly has no real impact on server performance.

    What would stop someone from simply rejoining to reset that kda?

    And what if someone was getting kills but decided to switch to a weaker race (like rapscallion) to have fun or go easy on enemies.
    Wouldn't that affect their dmg on a weak race?

    It is only going to compare the KDR of the 2 players current races. Players who are retrying in order to manipulate the balance system can be easily identified and banned.

    Ok the mod is in the server now for testing. Note that you as a user will not receive any messages as to this program doing anything. It passively changes the dmg values accordingly.
