Thread: Zero, some people can't access the website

  1. Default Zero, some people can't access the website

Hello zero or anyone that doesn't get a migraine when the word "network" is mentioned.

Some people are not able to access the webiste (the forums link), and it keeps tellign them that it's down but cloudfare is caching blah blah.

I had that happen to me at work, but I thought the site was down for everyone, and now "What" is telling me that he is STILL unable to connect to the site for the last 2 days.
Are you able to check any incoming traffic that is being blocked?

We tried clearing his cache, different browsers, different computers, different internets, and we ran a traceroute to ibisgaming and he made it to the site in 10 hops, which took 2seconds at most.
What should I tell him to do? is there any insight you might provide?

The command you need to run is ipconfig /flushdns

It could be that some addresses from cloudflare are being blocked. I will check into them when I have access again from my big computer.

    already tried that.
    nada.

he called Warner cables (WC shitbucket) and they did a complete trace and confirmed that he's landing on the site, but then he's hitting cloudfare and unable to access the forums).

Well the first thing he needs to do is drop TWC like fucking aids. They are worst than comcast. This has happened to me too with TWC and I had to completely reset my modem. Dunno how it worked in the sysadmin religion but it did.

I have TWC 300down/50up, no issues here. Maybe it's because of my city.

The only issues I have are getting DDoSed, which I can easily change my IP (dynamic) through TWC with certain modem settings.

The only real issues with TWC are their ubee modems (outdated). TWC does not allow configuration access to them and you must find the password yourself (r3m3mb3rm31) or something like that. If you have a ubee modem still, visit a center and upgrade it for free. Equipment upgrades are free unless it requires a subscribe ion upgrade (rarely the case) to utilize.

Well its working again, not sure what that was all about.
I hit Brett right in the feels.

Eh, had it happen before, someone spoofs your IP or especially when on school internet when you have thousands of people sharing a few ips, someone somewhere fucked with a bot net at some point.

next time this happens try changing his DNS to a public one, this happens sometimes when the routes are jacked.

some Public DNS addresses to try:
    4.2.2.2
    4.2.2.3
    8.8.8.8
    75.75.75.75
    76.76.76.76
