Trig and rosie get a pass.

Zambi and black are prime suspects. Scumfeel still heavy with zambi.
    Interesting.

Me too. I wonder if that means we're all Republican candidates, or the Republicans are town (would make sense, since there are fewer democrats running).

You're wrong about me at the very least, Scribble.

    And there we go again.
Assassin, trigger, and Zambi, I dislike the fact that scum's being fed info about the possibility of all town being republicans. I'm not a big fan of the flavor, and not sure if it would have been as easy as you claim for them to derive to such conclusion, but you need to keep the doubt in scum's mind, not just help confirm claiming facts.
It would make their fake claim a lot easier... Hell, that's partly how I managed to fake claim the shit out of Old Bastard (jesus) last game, process of elimination on who to pretend to be...

Not sure if just a dumb rookie mistake, or intentional feeding of information, but yeah, only share things that might be crucial to a lynch, or that cannot assist scum if they knew, such as townie candidate pools, and not so subtle claims.
Started from bottom. Now we here. <IBIS>

Stop softing first day unless it is vital to your role (i.e. mason). I'm going to start pushing policy lynches. You are only making it easier for mafia to focus their attention.

Zambi, way to make yourself seem more scummy or at least less valuable to town. I'm not changing my vote, scum.

Take into consideration a balanced game will probably have a counter to your role out there so don't give it away.

I agree with Scrib. This day has taken far too long and Mafia may have too much information. As for candidates, we have a fairly wide range to pick from.

Cyber, there are pretty much real 2 Dems running this time. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. If the scum was both of them, they'd already pretty much know they'd have to play the Repub or try to fake why they're the odd "men" out. It might be that they didn't give the town the obvious advantage and threw the scum in the betwixt the town. Given this is a balanced game, I assume the mods took this into account one way or the other.

Granted, we do have Mr. Lesser Known Democratic Candidate running around, which could either prove your point, or be the exception to the rule.

Also without some town confirming how would we know? I don't think we really gave anything away as soft claiming really doesn't save people...ever.

Sorry flavor wise not what role they are

  8. Default

You can make inferences based off multiple people making soft claims of flavor. Mafia knows who they are as a team and who is not mafia so once non-mafiosos start soft claiming they can build off of that. If mods claim the game is balanced/rm/insanity etc it narrows down or broadens the possibilities. The game theme and day/night flavor also helps narrow down the possibilities when the flavor is properly written by the mods.

There are only so many roles that can be used and only so many roles can be used based on the game type and player count.

Yeah... It gives away important information townies should be hesitant to give away on first day, eapecially power roles. Making yourself a target by saying you are vital just because one person votes for you on first day is either a scumtell or a inexperienced townie. Either way they lose usefulness and make it easier for those with more information (mafia and third party). Actionable info is what levels the playing field for town, so it is vital to get to the second day. The risk of losing a townie by quick train first day is worth it versus several people soft claiming role or flavor and giving mafia an easier means to create a strategy.

This was pretty much what I was getting at.

And Scribble, you don't have to change your vote. You can be wrong all you like.

Although, that said, it could just be that we have a pool of only Republicans. I know you guys get a bug up your ass any time someone mentions a role out of the blue, but it would be pretty funny if Donald Trump were a godfather. No, I don't think there's a godfather in this game, since one of you will probably comment on it.

I don't think we have a group of all Republicans based on what I have seen so far.
