been having an issue with my new laptop, it doesn't like to sleep. it'll sleep for 2 seconds, then wake up. every time. one common culprit is the network adapter but that's been ruled out, as has the mouse, keyboard, etc. i have no idea what it could be. also, the only way to make it actually shut down is to hold down the power button til it does so. the regular shutdown just makes it restart. no idea what's going on, any suggestions would be appreciated.

fixed, some kind of toshiba registration pinger service was causing it.

was about to say you should disable wake on lan encase some service is trying to access network resources when you want to sleep.
