at the risk of sounding like a total cheeseball, I'm gonna bypass the usual "+1 woooo" bs. this is an account of my personal experiences with spasm.
since i started at ibis, spasm has been a sort of role model to me. he kicks ass in-game and is always helpful, diligent, and fair on steam and on the forums. he's a dick to those who deserve it, and is entertaining when he is. spasm never takes shit, except from me when i make him eat it, and that's something everyone can and should respect. he's strong-willed, and stands by his opinions and decisions. if i ever need someone to take another look at a tough hacking case, it's spasm's input i trust and respect the most, and in every discussion i can remember having with him, he's been extremely courteous and helpful. fellow players and admins hate to see him come into the server because they know they're about to get raped, but they love it because they respect him and enjoy his personality, and they have fun trying to find ways to kill lord spasm.
this guy is exactly what I'd like to see in a clan member, of course its not what I'd like to see that matters...but it says something as well. clan members are the face of the community, they represent me just as much as they represent the ibis tag and spasm is one of the select few in this community that i, among what i know to be many others, would love to have representing what I'm all apt, and what i feel ibis is about.
apart from being who he is, conducting himself the way he does, spasm has been around for a relatively long time. he knows us, and he does have the community's best interests in mind. always. he's put in the hours, that much is for damn site...between the servers, forums, and hundreds of demos. this guy has invested so much in ibis and been such a great role model, admin, and player. there's nobody in here who is or had ever been entitled to clan, and when i say this i don't mean to imply that spasm is entitled to a spot in the clan but in my humble opinion, its high time he got something in return for his investments that he's made here. if a void in the ula slot is an issue, don't let it be. 3 is enough to handle things for a while, and the extra work is worth someone like spasm getting his spot at the top of the ibis heirarchy.
i could be wrong, you may disagree with some of my points but this is my honest personal opinion, and truthful account of my experiences with spasm. and this is also the longest +1 not written by cyber. maybe i could've kept my opinipns out of this, i know they don't really matter here but sometimes i just can't help it. disregard them if you want, but don't neglect the facts presented.
