you definitely need a good gpu to play this game on high settings, thats a given and this is mostly due to all the particle effects that are in the game as well of depth of field and all that stuff. i mean mine 9800 holds up pretty well but it get bogged down in the busier areas of the map. i will say this though my cpu definitely pulls its weight in this game.

I am loving the Beta. Graphcis are amazing, animations are swell, guns sound cool, guns are awesome looking in general. So much more to say.

PS3 betas alright, game looks great and plays great so far. Miss my the keyboard and mouse, its not the same without it. My only issue is the fact that the starting sniper sucks, and the players camping like douches in the dark subway. (but that always happens)

yeah i'm loving it, especially the fact that almost all the weapons have attachments. and yeah the starting sniper rifle is kinda crappy but its great when you're on the move a lot and need to fire shot after shot without having to unscope like you do with the SV98. but the SV98 is awesome because you get the 12x scope and you can pick off guys across the map even better when you get the bipod for it.

Windows 8 beta is out for public use. Go get yourself that and use it to play the bf3 beta.

or if your smart you can torrent windows 7 for free and than get a program to generate a OEM key for you.

now idk about universities and what kind of networks they have or what they have access too, I'm just saying for the average person that isn't at school or isn't willing to pay 10's of thousands of dollars for a UC....
