Great idea, and thanks Anex for supporting it. That deployment money is burning your pocket. I think having server based admin teams would be fun. ZM vs GG in WCS! Winner takes on the WCS admins?

Well not neccessarily take on WCS admins, but prerequisites can change to reflect activity in other servers. So like the prerequisite in APR in a minimum of 10 hours in the wcs server. May will be the same thing. Jun however it could be like a minimum of a certain amount of skill points in ZM or hours logged in GG, so players will be rounded in all the IBIS servers.... and yes its burning my pocket.

Anex , thats a very noble gesture in deed , but i was also brought up to be a very supportive guy to friends, and im also willing to donate to you/ibis and support a month reserve slot for 1-2 entire teams that wins for regulars, each month, in order to have this idea grow.

I would also believe that if this idea should grow strong, perhaps one might consider having a wcs server dedicated for 5 on 5 scrimming only?
A server dedicated for pre-made teams of 5 that join, and their 'rank' is the team rank (amount wins?) .. And use that server for the tournaments one day?
(im talking about long term, where that server would be known for all wcs communities to perhaps be the only wcs dedicated for scrim? I think this server would be severely reserved for games. )


Also, i talked to maynard, whoever said its gonna be maxxed races is wrong, the current races each individual player has leveled and acquired would be transfered from the regular server to that server, and each plays using his own shit.
It will also be monitored by maynard and anex only (ie no random spectators, god i wish there was sourcetv for that game) and the test server would be locked with a password.
The teams would be first come first served, and its gonna be random team repartition to limit the chances of stacking.

If you want to donate man, that would be very helpful. If zero is willing to have two scrim servers setup then donations can be little to help pay for the prizes. With the minimum of $12 to $55 when we do that 5v5. If that is not the case than as I said before there will be two permanent scrim servers 13 slot servers (10 for players 3 for spectators). Each comes with its own ventrillo server. After this one, the scrims will be 5v5.

Yes, maxxed races is wrong. Each individual will have their own level and classes that they have in the IBIS WCS server. It will be monitored by Zero? Maynard, and myself. Zero has said that he is going to have a sourctv like thing up to allow people to watch the match with a 30 second delay. Servers are going to be with a password and it is first come first server with teams matched to avoid stacking.

Amazing idea, nicely done. Have you thought about certain rules for this to keep the tournament civilized and balanced?

Im mainly talking about 5v5 rules as to who can play what maps and what races.

Would putting a limit on spider man on 1 per team make this better? I was thinking it would take more skill because you would have to choose who plays this race more carefully, meaning it would take more teamwork for your 5 man team in deciding who plays what race if there is a limit just for the tournament.

Aswell as having a limit on blood mages and eye ra races to 1 per team. Making it much harder for people to pick who plays what races so it does not get wasted and is put to good use.

Also, is there a WCS teamspeak/vent that will be available for use for this tournament or can we use our own? or is it even allowed?

This tournament sounds like a great idea and will be alot of fun for the people that get on it. Great community builder.

I've decided not to limit (server limits should already apply EX. Vagabond) individual classes such as spider man (really not that good since it got nerfed to hell and back), blood mage, and eye ra. Eye ra can be easily countered by items you can buy from the wcsstore and having multiple blood mages can be wiped people easily. We will see how this goes but not restricting classes should not be a problem.

I have a vent that you guys can use but if you want to use your own then you will be fine. I'll setup two channels, one for both teams, and password protect them for you. Alltalk will be on so if any problems do arise such as cheaters or players breaking rules, it can come to the moderators attention quickly.
