Admins idling in spectator for hours

also, as for the admin in spec thing, i like nem's idea about a hidden popup menu to avoid admins getting kicked... but then, every reg who plays long enough will start understanding that when an admin has been afk for a while he;s specking someone...
my 2 cents say that, many of us admins work our asses off spectating ppl. if admins are just sitting there in a spec, with no actual demoing and not responding, just post a demo of them being constantly afk, and report them. then maybe @ZERO can blacklist those SPECIFic ADMINS to run that same popup nemesis mentionned?
personally i wouldnt wanna be kicked when demoing someone , and i demo a LOT... and i wouldnt wanna reveal myself to be non afk neither...

i don't see what's wrong with a simple menu pop up after 5-10 minutes if you haven't clicked or used your keyboard "are you still there? -yes" and if you don't hit 1 or 2 within 30 seconds you get the boot. if you're demoing hitting 1 or 2 won't give you away as admin spectating. also just use admin only chat to not give yourself away to everyone (teamchat @) if you need to speak to the other admins.

on a different subject -- cyber do you really need a wall for a signature? so much shit, huge ULA text, a graphic, two quotes, another huge gif and more fucking text and sadly enough your signature is larger than the majority of your posts which are just huge walls of text.

Actually it might just be easier just to allow the current afk kick to drop admins, and then create another plugin in the menu itself that spectates them, and exempts them from the kick for a single map only so that it doesn't get abused.

Instead of having annoying pop up menus, all you'd have to do is create a command that temporarily safe guards the admin.

Keep it simple like what rezel said, if they are using admins commands it wont register you as afk, like using the Auto spec.

the whole idea is great i agree because admins cant kick other admins and there are a few admins that use the spec. to keep senior admin however we all know thats not how it works >.> +1 though for sure great idea

How about adding this cvar "sm_afk_kick_min_players 20" ( also removing admin immunity ) number will vary for each server naturally, I just pulled this from a afk manager, and adding it to any other manager should be fearly simple. Admins will get kicked then if they do not actively use they're mouse keyboard.
And providing that the server has x amount of players.

Most afk managers rely on keystrokes and mouse movement related to game-play as eks toggling spec using admin commands or typing wont stop the kick.
