If you moved it around at all, make sure all cards, RAM, and every other connector is secure.
I have had this problem before from a RAM stick knocked a bit loose. Bios post, all good, ect, black stuck screen after post.
As others said, check bios and boot orders also.

nothing worked that was mentioned...could my harddrive that is running the OS be bad? But the thing is, it won't even boot from the CDrom. Shouldn't it be able to boot from the cdrom with the windows disk? I dk if I said this before but the boot order was messed up, first priority was floppy, so im pretty sure the battery died on the mobo.
Odd... Should be able to boot from cdrom if bios is posting and your ram is working....
What happens when you actually go to boot from the CD? Black screen thing again? Make sure the disk is actually bootable, also, try USB stick boot.
