Thread: Problems in america?!

No one is stating that fascism is just about killing Jews but you are comparing two completely different people Obama and Hitler, just on the biases of a socialized health care program. The comparison is laughable and quite and insult because the same thing could be said to any president who had a majority of congress. And the fact that there was many leaders before Hitler ever came into power who wanted to have a socialized health care system including Roosevelt. As for schools glossing over this part of our history, this is do to political pressure and stupid people. My school's all thought about this issue as well as the large spread of Nazism (not the killing Jews part) in the US and other less respectable points in US history. It is the same crap that is going on now with school boards trying to force creationism into our science classes.

All the United States Presidents are the same....they're puppets to the real leaders..
The last time a President tried to do his own thing was asassinated in Texas.

Did I ever say health care anywhere? Someone is a bit insecure...

Also have I ever even mentioned Obama by name? I remind you that I have stated Bush by name and I am serious about that. I also note that no one had any objection to me placing him in that list.

I am speaking holistically about the direction of this nation and I was originally listing politicians who shaped fascism in the modern area. I am not listing exact things that I find wrong here because in order to accurately explain them and then list the sources and backup sources ect ect to quell foolish arguments or the lack of research on the part of others would take so much time and space that such efforts would be better spent writing a book about it.

Therefore I simply offer my generalized opinion with regard to the question posed that in my eyes the growth of fascism over the last 100 years is the greatest problem that faces America.

No i am not insecure it is the largest political debate in our country at the moment and you responded to some one talking about Obama with the fascism comparison linking FDR to fascism which clearly his policy's were not so i could only assume you were criticizing Obama and the current bill since this same comparison is being done by the people fighting the bill. While yes Bush did do many things that could be deemed fascist and i agree you could claim that his presidency was partly fascist he did a massive reversal towards the end of his second term. Fascism will be apart of any government because people like to exert there power over others. I think the issue lies more on the people because they are to easy to control with missinformation which you can clearly see with the WMD issue in Iraq and the current town hall meetings.

I object to it. I think it's crap.

Actually, I believe that in his second term especially toward the end he enacted even more fascist policies.

As for the debate on the health care bill I recommend that people attempt to read it to see what it is actually about because from what I have seen it does not appear to be much different from the stimulus bill that ended up being nothing more than a hey lets all put money on fire project. Although I admit that I have not read it I will say that I will not support a bill that I have not read over. With this said I have heard of another bill that appears to simply create an extension of current gov programs that would cover the majority of the people without health-care, those being ones between jobs who's care has temporarily run out. I am not saying that I support this other bill but that it should be worth a read to see how it handles the problem without needlessly increasing government control.

Later I will try to look up both bills on thomas.gov and send you all the links. Oh on that note first I will see if it is safe because some gov sites such as the cash for clunkers one have the ability to install some pretty nasty stuff on your computer and also place your system and its contents under the property of the US gov.

Some numb nut ex Governor by the name of Mitt Romney passed a law that requires all Massachusetts residents to have health care. If you can't afford one you'll be put on COBRA (State funded health insurance) and let me tell you... they can deny you of EVERYTHING that you need (medicines, MRI's, tests etc.)

If your going to give health care to everyone here's the deal. Make a thorough plan that doesn't have loopholes. The problem with government is they will ALWAYS find a loophole.

And for the record I am not on COBRA, but I have heard nightmares about it. I agree with Pink. If privatized health care (Tufts, Blue Cross, Cigna etc) is offered at your place of employment, TAKE IT!!!
