anex whats with that pos gtx 465? why would you spend more on something worse then the gtx 460?
I was assuming the gtx 465 was good because it was superclocked and it had a full five eggs rating with positive reviews. :'(
You are right though. The 460 is better than the 465. 465 is a pos.
For the same price you can get the superclocked 460 here : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130568

Anex, protip, dont buy superclocks or factory OC, you can OC your card just as high or higher and still be under warranty
I assume you dont want blueray.
Hall go with a different mobo, you want a p55 chipset not h55, why? so you can get a second 460 down the line. also BUILD IT YOURSELF!
also do you really wany yo go $400 over budget? with 1400 you could get an x58 mobo with ubs 3.0 and all that jaz along with a more powerful GPU then the 460, like a 470 or 5870
Very very OCable, and comes with a copy of Metro 2033
edit: awesome thats a 30 pound case XD

Leave hallwagner alone. D=.. He doesn't understand computer lingo. He just wants to buy a computer from Amazon or something.
Seriously though, build your own. Way better.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
If you aren't up for building it yourself, and just want something that works out of the box, one decent option is this. Select "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB 16X PCIe Video Card" as the video card, and "600 Watts - XtremeGear Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready" as the power supply. Should end up at $1,016. Free shipping to boot. That's a very decent price for a very decent pre-built system. i7-950, 1 TiB hard drive, 6 GiB of RAM, and a very good video card. That should cover the listed requirements.
i know to a pretty good extent what the terms mean. so far i've understood most of what u guys said. i've just never done this sort of thing b4 and needed advice as to what i should be doing. i've "recruited" one of my friends to come over and help me pick out things and put it together. it'll help to have his input as a instructor on the scene per say. so i guess i'll keep u guys updated, not that u really care :P
