I to would like to see what it was cyber tried to say through diffrent channels. I would also like to know who it was meant for.

If YOU really have to ask, then I wonder why i even bothered in the first place.

If he would have used a standard cypher I likely would have broken it and would know what it said by now..

oh but I did.

Now let me elaborate on this for those who are wondering. What I did was an unprecedented testing of waters, but that was NOT going against anything written in the rules.

• Now i will not quote the discussion that happened between What and myself as that would be quoting the mod, but what i did was throwing hints left and right at people in the posts, see who is paying attention. NOTE: all this happened IN the thread.
• One person hinted back in the thread with a certain word that i saw over and over. NOTE: all this happened IN the thread.
• So when I saw that, I hinted back with that word within the thread, and surely enough, we established a semi trusty channel WITHIN the thread based on a word.
• So this is where it hit me, an unprecedented idea to convey a message to someone where less people can read it right off the bat WITHOUT PUTTING THE EFFORT of actually paying attention to detail.
• Now here's a fun fact before i continue with what happened: I asked What yesterday about allowing me to post encrypted messages such as shifted letter words (A becomes B , B becomes C, etc...) he said it was allowed. He also said that writing a post in an entire different language, like arabic or spanish, was ALSO allowed (note however that this latter option would require the majority of people to have to use a third party google translate in order to translate the message... REMEMBER THAT.)
• So back to my original train of thought, I decided to write a tiny message, basically containing 3 messages : Are you this name? Are you this role? Do you know what I am? If so, post IN THE THREAD, with "yes yes yes" or "Yes no yes" etc... (I will not post what the role questions were because the 2 people havent replied to me, havent even seen the message by the time What pulled his big boy pants on. So I will not claim for them since they haven't really claimed, just me speculating, and thus all of this is useless at the time)
• I took that message, and i encrypted it. Now I could have encrypted those messages manually with a goddamn pen and paper, but I figured i'd save time and jsut encrypt them using the FREE ONLINE ENCRYPTER/DECRYPER AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE in the world (not only to everyone in the game) AND that happens to be the VERY FIRST google search result, tools4noobs.com. I used this site ONLY to encrypt the message that IS POSTED IN THIS THREAD, NOT to host a message outside of the thread where NOT EVERYONE can see.
• Now that the message was encrypted, I posted the encrypted msg IN THE THREAD. (remember pass, both you and aco said that that if it was a standard cypher where u had all the tools at ur disposal then you would be able to decrypt it and mvoe along right?) oh but they tools WERE at your disposal, ant ANYONE's disposal, IN THE THREAD.
• You see, this started because What (the moderator) thought I was posting 2 drunk rambling messages not even related to the game (first of all, let the ppl play their game, but wtvr) and so he wrote me telling me to PLAY THE GAME and not post life updates (unlike what Phil has been doing lol <3) and so i said OH BUT I AM playing the game. and he was requesting me to delete my own 2 drunk posts, not because he knew there was an encrypted msg at the point, I HAD TO TELL HIM that i am playing the game, and not drunk, and i posted a hidden msg.
• The msg was in the post, the encryption key for 1 msg is a keyword that has been used for about 20 pages now between myself and 1 person, and the second msg (containing almost identical questioning) was directed to another player who i just recently started to hint back, and i assumed they hinted me back in the thread. So it had another keyword that was very well highlighted in my walls. Those who paid attention to reading had ALLLLLLLLLLLL that information available at their disposal.
• And then i posted in the drunk said a highlighted drink from "Signature section" implying for ppl to take a look at my damn sig, WHICH IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR ALL TO SEE IN THE THREAD. The sig did NOT have a link to a site hosting a private msg, no no no. That would be against the rules, the sig had a picture of the tools4noob website, implying that if anyone (NOTE: ANYONE, scum or town) who had collected all the info i posted IN THE THREAD, available for ALL TO SEE, they can decrypt it. (note that they could have easily done a google search of an online decrypted on google, and that tools4noob would have literally been the very first site they could use.). So in other words, my signature was completely overkill and not really necessary to solve what i had posted IN THE THREAD. it was simply to make sure EVERYONE HAD THE SAME TOOL, to level the playing field, in case ppl werent smart enough to google shit (u know, bcos we can google wikis and whatnot right?)

So finally, I have asked 2 veteran players whether I can do such encryption msg knowing that ALLL the info is IN THE THREAD, no communication outside the thread was EVER needed to convey ANY message. Note that i did not disclose any information about what i am, or what role i am, or what i know, or anything of the sorts. It was a simple question "what do u think if i am using an encrypter where ppl who has caught on to hints IN the the dread can read it, and even share it publicly at that point if they want to force me to claim."

One said that this was actually pretty fucking clever and EVEN THOUGH THEY ARENT PLAYING in this game, that person (someone not playing) was able to dig through my shitfuck of messages and practically decypher what i had written... That's someone outside the thread, i had at least expected people PLAYING the damn game to figure it out then.
As for the second person, who i always refer to when i mod my games or enforce rules, I asked them, and he said he can see both points between What and myself, he leans towards me being allowed to use wtvr convoluted methods i can think of as long as ANY INFORMATION NEEDED TO FIGURE OUT A CONVEYED MSG are within the thread. which they were. but for the sake of respecting the mod, he also told me that there is no right or wrong answer about this debate as it is UNPRECEDENTED, and thus as far as i know, not against the rules unless we explicitely put it there in the game play around.

For those who were reading, they could ALL have decyphered the message. ANYONE. not just town, not just scum, not just anything. Anyone with cells in the brains and vision in their eyes. Hell you ALL have seen the key i used, since u all quoted it and "highlighted it" since it was written in caps lol. so it's not like it was something THAT convoluted or impossible, it was simply a means for me to see if someone really knows what role i am and paying attention to my hints, or if they are just trolling me for information.

Now apparently What thinks that what i did was not acceptable. I am strongly against what he thinks at thinks at this point. HOWEVER, the moderator was sent all the encrypted messages (only the 2 drunk msgs which were my very first attempt to test the waters with a theory), AND the keys, AND everything to make sure that what i wrote was along the lines of the msg content above, to practically tell them that i wasn't cheating, but playing by the rules, thinly by the rules, but by the rules. (hell if nemesis can figure out a way to call everyone a nigger lol... i'm not even crossing that line).

Apparently What thinks that what i did was not acceptable, fine i will NOT ARGUE THE MOD, even though i am strongly opposing his points. but seeing as he is the mod, i will let it go for the end of the game, and i ask you guys to do the same because i did NOT cheat, and we will talk about this at the end of the game, but I will not elaborate more on the game because it really isn't the time for it.


What i do find hilarious however, is the fact that What believes that me posting an entire post in arabic or spanish within the thread, WHICH REQUIRES A "GOOGLE TRANSLATE" THIRD PARTY TRANSLATOR unless you know the language, is actually FINE and ALLOWED. But using a language that is machine based instead of human based, requiring the same THIRD PARTY machine TRANSLATOR... Not allowed. ALRIGHTY THEN, like i said, i will not argue about the contradiction that you gave me until the end of the game. But this was posted here just to prove that each person can define "fair play" by their own judgement unless it is specifically pointed out in the rules, and boy will i make a note on that in the rules when the game is over.

If you guys want to lynch me, fine, but i will not go down easy, i can tell you that.
People I trust: old bastard and mikey (even though he can sometimes be as smart as a can of rotten beans as shown in my quote of him above...)
People i thought i could trust when i made my drunk messages ass, seeing as he CLEARLY knew the keys i used, since he highlighted them for me on many occasions during a conversation i had with old bastard before.
Finally, Pass, if you really know what i am, and STILL bussing me? goddamn man wth is wrong with u... if u know what i am then u'll know that i am better off left aside for later instead of forcing me out now where are too many people with convoluted shit happening.


I was asked to post this as an agreement between the mod and myself that since we BOTH believe we are right, and there is no actual right or wrong agreement at that point, that i would post EXACTLY what happened from start to finish and we would talk about this at the end and perhaps fix the rules to explicitely fix this issue, whether acceptable or not. So like i said, let it go for now, it's been handled, and if i were to TRULY cross the line in blatant cheating and rule breaking? trust me, What would have already mod killed me by now.
And i would NEVER have done such thing when i didn't KNOW to the best of my judgement that it was allowed to begin with, because I HAVE modded before nemesis, yes, so I believed i know what lines to cross or not. But ALL THIS IS NOT YOURS to reason, but at the mod's discretion. the mod can chose whether to accept it or not, i personally wouldnt have minded it as mod as it's a clever way to utilize the information in the thread to the ones actually PLAYING the game and paying attention, rather than just posting and ranting. the mod in THIS game didn't feel like it was acceptable, so i listen to the mod and i let it go, although 2 different mods would have handled it otherwise. You of all people, nemesis, know that sometimes you don't get justice when it comes to bashing heads with the mod.

When i woke up I was dead set on voting for Locust btw for providing nothing but "oh i am a townie and i am not gonna claim because blackmage said i always claim too fast" .... But it's already almost been 2 weeks since the start, that's not fast anymore lol....

But seeing as you guys summoned me to explain the silliness of this situation... when all that i did was within the rules and fair play from what i gathered from myself. Then i will refrain from voting on locust because that would make my entire honest post questionable as me DECLARING that what i did was NOT against the rules and was FAIR PLAY. as opposed to ppl turning it into "oh look, he's shifting blame to locust", which isn't the case.


FINALLY. To show some good faith?
I will HARD CLAIM being DEAN WINCHESTER, and man i'm the best damn hunter there is in the show.

So i STRONGLY believe that you guys let go of this, take my claim as a sign of good faith, counter claim me if you believe i am full of it.

There is no way to regulate a 3rd party site. There is nothing stopping players from establishing a code ahead of time, and posting it within the thread, but not in a reasonable fashion, such as having the third word of every odd number post, etc. Then posting a link in your sig to the site you have decided on using to "decrypt" your message. The you could remove that link whenever you wanted. By that logic, everything was in the thread, but it clearly is being used to circumvent the rules as you were attempting to do.

Digital codes are not language. Posting a foreign language in the thread preserves the message in the thread for everyone, regardless if they need help to translate it or not, besides the point that this would look really stupid and obvious to everyone. On another website, nothing is guaranteed to preserve the messages you are trying to send, nor is there anyway for the moderator to ensure that more rules are not being broken. Since the only way to view the "code" you posted was with a log in name, a password and a specific site that was hidden, poorly, in your sig, it is clearly outside the realm of this game. Also, only on that website can you see what the message was, that again, can not reach any assurance of being preserved, regulated, or maintained. It is against the rules. ALL communication must be in the thread. By your logic, if you posted a name or link to another forum somewhere where you can converse with someone, that would be ok since you revealed the link in your thread. You clearly attempted to circumvent the rules and the only reason you where not killed off is that I caught it as soon as you attempted to do it.

Stop fucking trying to meta game this shit and play the god damn game. Now Day 2 has been taking forever, this thread is now longer than the entirety of the last game. Along those lines, and since it has been requested from several players, Day 2 will end in 24 hours, 5:30 pm eastern on the 8th of June. If a consensus is not reached at that time, it will effectively be a no lynch.

Saying that it was easy for anyone to decipher is easy with the encipher is like saying Enigma was easy to break once you had both machines.

Using the example of language is bullshit as well since I don't need anything third party to decipher your Mexican since I could naturally speak it. But there is no way I could decipher what you're saying without the key.

It's an unprecedented thing. I read the rules, and double checked them to make sure that i including EVERYTHING needed in the thread.

ALSO, What, NO. The third party site doesnt MATTER. You can use ANY fucking decryption site or even buy a fucking textbook from the store and decrypt it manually. so whatever i wrote IS and WILL be remained documented in the thread as it can be deciphered at any point in the future since the msg is hosted HERE, not ELSEWHERE.

And as for your arguments, fine, i get it that you can have an issue with with ppl using keywords prewritten beforehand... But the thing is, unless u know what side u were on before the game, u cant establish such safe words, and even if u did, if u did it with a player, the next time that player can call bs on u and implicate u for doing smthn illegal if they arent on ur side etc...
The bottom line is that i posted all the keys IN the thread, and if ONE person, no matter what side was on, is able to decrypt a msg addressed to someone else, they can clearly copy the encrypted msg and post it publicly to confirm me or screw me over, depending on their intentions. and at the end of the game, i would have been posting those mgs in the thread for documentation using the key that i would have QUOTED from the posts IN the thread, to validate authencity. but for the sake of not fucking up the mafia games and community, i'll let it go, and we will find some ground rules after this game, perhaps by enforcing ONLY english ? would that make it better? wtvr. bottom line, i cant be breaking the rule if there is no rule, and no i'm not saying this to bypass shit or bend rules, im saying this because i know i played fair and everyone has access to everything. and if you guys STILL cant read my encrypted msgs, then at this point, it's on u . bcos i posted all that needs to be said.
