Im pretty sure they are going for shock effect and an attempt to split the users, to get them to play both, before getting bored of/ switching to the other. However i personally dont think this would work in BF3's favor. Its only what i read.

MW3 is more popular. I will purchase the 2 games but I'm pretty sure I will play MW3 first until maximum prestige.

the only reason the MW series is so popular is cause every kid with a console out there has a copy. it's like Thee FPS game 2 have for console... but for PC there's always been better
