I have always loved the fact that GW doesn't "cheat" with allowing select players that spend thousands of hours in game to get extremely OP gear, some people have lives ya know, yet have more skill than a player that has spent hours upon hours in game. Pretty much, the PVP is based more on one's brainpower than cheap shit.
This. ANet has stated that there will be no vertical gear progression. Any "end-game" gear is purely cosmetic. If you want to be different, that's the way you can go. No word on pets n shit that I've read, but they pioneered that shit so I'm sure they will be in eventually.

I gotta find the interview article.

EDIT: Also, level 80 will be the cap at launch.

Pets will be playing a huge role in this game, depending on race and profession that is. There is info around somewhere, I've read a bit of it.
Make all your last demands for I will forsake you and I'll meet your eyes for the very first time, for the very last.

maynard <ibis>: they are awkward and last 2 damn long. I prefer thinner smaller ones

Pets as in companion moss and wolves or pets as in cute minis that follow you around.

Mini's are pointless and retarded. I hope they don't waste time making a "unique system" on them...

I know REAL pets play a major role, as the Ranger was an awesome pet class in the first GW.

Mikey, you would like cosmetic pets. You used to run around with your faggot rabbits in Rift all the time. LOL

EDIT: Now if they were to have mini's that had storage capabilities like in Aion then I would be all over that.

or minis that gave minor stat bonuses.....

At anyrate ass, you where all about the bunnies. I would run around with my chipmunk one young surge and everyone else's emo bunny craze they had.

Edit: it was pretty entertaining though raiding and seeing every one with there bunny hanging out like it was 1969.

Fuck no, they better not have bullshit stat bonuses. Once you start adding shit like that to the game that adds to the bullshit grind. If they do add stat bonuses they should be unavailable in PvP.
