I'm assuming you didn't play the first 2 games? cause if you did and the ending didn't bother you, I think you would be the first lol.
They re-released the ending a little while ago though, not sure which one you've done.

i played about half of me1, all of me2. and i got the original ending, downloaded the game when it first came out, and nothing else. i was expecting some abysmally disappointing ending and yeah, some parts of it don't jive with me but when i consider the epic (and i mean FUCKING EPIC, like hundreds of thousands of years, maybe millions of years of history, being changed in that one moment) scale of what happened, i'm not surprised and not disappointed.
also i think it's a damn good lesson for life. you always have freedom of choice, but you can't bend the outcome to your will. ultimately you have to make sacrifices, and you might not end up where you expected. some things are out of your control, but you do still have a say in your own destiny.

that's the thing, all the endings do the same thing and show the same cut scene lol... only thing that changes is the color.
read up on everything they promised, then you should understand people's disappointment

then he most likely didn't play the first 2, or know about what was actually promised.
if a game developer gets you to spend around 30 hours per game, where you build hardcore relationships with the in game characters and are always making massive decisions that impact everything... well.. when you're told all the shit we were supposed 2 get with the ending that didn't happen... well.. like I said... unless you didn't play the first 2, or know about what the ending was actually supposed 2 be, I find not being upset with it damn near impossible.
it's like someone offering you a bar of gold and giving you a copper coin.
if you judge the ending just on it's own merit.. .well.. meh it's ok... I gues... even though it's still incredibly bland and no matter what decision you make the exact same clips play lol... but if you look at the simple fact they promised us so much shit and didn't do any of it... well... fail.
literally the entire game community that support mas effect and loves it went fucking ape shit over the ending.. hence why they re-released it and admitted they fucked up.

well apparently mediocrity is his cup of tea, it's not mine... nor the mass majority of people who played the game.
if you liked it, great. but it's a joke in terms of what was promised and not delivered.

i think the tough part to swallow was that it was supposed to be the end of the series. talks are going on about another full game in the mass effect universe (presumably mass effect 4) and with that knowledge in mind, it's easier to take. speaking of which, i think they need a new soundtrack. i'm thinking daft punk, after the job they did with tron: legacy. cameo in a club...mmmm. a guy can dream...
though i feel like the reaper sounds were ripped from glitch mob songs so maybe it would be a nice touch to have them do it.

They have always said that Mass Effect 3 is the end of the Shepard story, not the end of Mass Effect.

"Intolerance and superstition has always been the domain of the more stupid amongst the common folk and, I conjecture, will never be uprooted, for they are as eternal as stupidity itself. There, where mountains tower today, one day there will be seas; there where today seas surge, will one day be deserts. But stupidity will remain stupidity."
