What hurts the most is, not getting turned down, but missing an opportunity to do something, and then remembering that, for a long time...

Like when a girl smiles at you or gives you that look on a crowded downtown bus, but you're at the other end, with a tight crowd in the middle.

Or you just didn't approach a girl because you thought you might see her again, and weren't ready this time... and then not seeing her again.
