AHAHAHA. If I had dated Wilford, maybe I could've at least swiped a pump from his house or something. Though just to clarify, Wilford clearly has type TWO diabetes, which is very different from type 1.
To answer your question, Sin, I've never been in a diabetic coma. I think that's pretty rare and would tend to happen when the person first gets diabetes and is undiagnosed (my mom tutored a little girl who went into a diabetic coma when she was a baby and had resulting brain damage/learning disabilities). There was actually a DOCTOR living with my family and I when I got diabetes, so we caught it pretty early. The conversation went something like this:
Ren: Man, I have been SO THIRSTY lately. It's weird.
Dr. Mike: Maybe you have diabetes.
Ren: Lol.
Also, I'm not generally paranoid about my blood sugars because there are symptoms. For example, I just make sure to check them when I feel myself really getting irritable and mad at things that shouldn't bother me.
