Well the reviews for the nividias 470 and 480 are out.
From what I can tell the 470 is a decent card, and the 480 is a hot, power hungery, overprice,d cool looking, heat pipe stuffin card.

Both looked useless. For something that needs to be a game changer this is looking like the fx series all over again. I figured this would happen when I heard of the fab problems back in the winter. Unless I hear of a driver update that gives 50% boost in performance they are in big trouble.

The only thing the 400 cards excel at is doing lots of tessellation (unengine heaven 2.0), by the time we have programs doing massive tessellation, the 6000s will most likely be out, blowing away whatever lead Nividias cards had on the 5000s
apparently they built these cards to run veary well with SLI, and looking at the benchmarks, im impressed. but that is way to much power, nearly 800 fucking watts at full load!
