Now my monitor is starting to flicker if I go on any games, if I go on CSS dots appear everywhere within 30 secs ,I didn't change anything, I updated my graphics driver, I don't know if its because my graphics card is burned out or anything, or do I need to get a new HDMI cord?

Well before I could do that, the night before I put everthing into a external hard drive, and the day after that, it won't load up to windows log in, it will get to the part where it says MICROSOFT CORP {copyright sign} then just goes black and won't go any farther. Time for a new computer?, my dad says its the hard drive he would go get it fixed but he hasn't had the time to, so whats the problem so i could just easily get the parts for my dad.

I can tell you it is probably not the HDD. Have you tried safe mode?
Also have you reseated your ram.

If you can not load safemode make sure that your os is not corrupted. If you do not think it is a software problem then test in this order:

memory
gpu
psu
cpu

If you got win 7 you can run a memory debug to test it.
The rest will require swapping parts/resetting bios/switching slots

weak... so last night I was fucking around on my comp... and I accidently hit the sleep button on my keyboard so the Pc started shutting down and I had a bunch of programs running... so after saying some choice words I took it out of sleep mode and typed in my password, hit enter and BOOM... PC's F-U-C-K-E-D

so long story short 1 of my hard drives shorted the fuck out... the part was under warranty but still had 2 pay labour and shop time... was weak

I was talking to HMDBrian today in game and he told me to pick up Nividia. But he said something about finding out what kind of power supply and that I need. HAlp?

open your case, it will say on the power supply what wattage it is. and for the card I recommend the gforce 9800 GT... it's a sweet card and not expensive
