Actually in social studies i learned that africans enslaved africans which gave the americans the idea for slavery and the african americans in my class for butt hurt from that.

Slavery goes back to the Egyptians and the Hebrews, so the slavery excuse does not surpass for the chip on their shoulder. However, the segregation that happened from the early 1900's to the 70's DOES excuse the reason for the chip on their shoulder.
