Well if you had been the one to go, wait a second, I think Cyber is mafia, and then he got lynched, I don't see why you would be the next to die, since why would the mafia submarine their own plan to keep someone else alive who has less of a chance of convincing the town of their innocence than cyber? Also, I brought up the epic mafia stuff last game, that's where the virgin modifier came from. I would assume to cross check everything with both websites just to see the possibilities and determine if someone's claim was BS or not. I do not know what was included in Cyber's message, but if he signed it with his name, then that may have been something he should have been prohibited from using, you should also have checked with the others who he confirmed with when he was a friendly neighbor to see if the messages synced up or not. Although, it would be difficult to suspect something strange at first, that is a level of paranoia that doesn't come easy to most.

If cyber was lynched, it would have shown his role, and, now I'm assuming here, because you've already shown you're not very good at this game, nor very smart in general, and that others, who could use google properly, would come up with what his role did, and how he could lie about it. You're still very upset that you played poorly, and I understand that, maybe you'll get over it, maybe you wont. Hopefully you've learned something valuable about this game and how you shouldn't be so easy to manipulate.

that is a valid point as well, when cyber's role was revealed it would have vindicated you provided people would actually stop to think for a minute. Also Sin and scrib said next to nothing to whole game, and no one thought that was odd? especially when the town was eating itself alive.

When you return from [night action] (or if they didn't have a night action; when they wake up) you find a note on your floor. The note reads as follows:

"Cyber, aka Mr. B, Confirmed Innocent Friendly Neighbor, sends you his greetings."

why in the hell would it say confirmed in the message? You are getting something that says town in it already, and its a private message, what confirming is going on or necessary at that point. Though I do think he should not have been allowed to have his name in there. If it was kept anonymous it would have been a bit more suspicious, though cyber could just go, you get that thing I sent you? It was a valid plan cyber had within the rules of the game, still think bretts death on the first night should have raised some red flags

yes, because it makes sense for me to receive a message saying someone's town, and immediately assume they're mafia. with absolutely no other evidence whatsoever. yup.

let me spell this out very clearly for you two: this is a game of information. you use the information you're able to gather based off what others say and what is revealed to you. i am given one piece of information: cyber has sent me a message saying he's town. so i'm supposed to assume that nem implemented a stupid OP role? i'm supposed to say "yes, cyber confirmed that he's town, BUT HE'S NOT TOWN BECAUSE THERE'S THIS OBSCURE OP ROLE THAT I'M SURE NEM IMPLEMENTED INTO THIS GAME!"

seriously? that's the argument you're gonna use? if someone said that bullshit in-game i'd lynch em in a heartbeat on the grounds of sheer preposterousness.

Actually if you read to the end I said that that level of suspicion is unlikely at first. Most of that was in response to you saying you didn't call Cyber out since you knew you would be the next to die if he turned up mafia. So, re-read more carefully.

And it is a game of information, and mis-information. The goal is to go through everything you have and try to discern the truth, albeit if someone tells you this guy is for sure ok, then it is difficult to have reason to doubt him, but as the game progressed, especially with Aco's claim, some rethinking must have gone on. You were too concerned with saving your own skin so you went out of your way to defend cyber since Aco's claim would appear to have condemned you, though again once cyber was dead, everyone would see that he could have sent you the message claiming to be town.

Ok, lets slow this down for you. the msg could have said anything. It could have said, "Hey Brett, wanna join the mafia? Good, you're in." Would you believe that? What about it it said, "Brett, Mikey is The Godfather." Would you have instantly believed that? And in any game you played, when has a role ever been called a 'confirmed' anything? Also, Cyber made some typos and there were differences in the msgs, if you would have gone further you would have seen that possibly.


Also, this is not a game of information, this is a game is deception. You were deceived.

Also, busdriver on day one is unlikely as Town should be hesitant to use it since they don't want to protect mafia and get town killed. If mafia used it, then you need to ask why cyber? Why would they use it on him?

the only way to know that cyber was deceiving us was to lynch him, and we'd only do that if we knew he was deceiving us. the ONLY WAY TO KNOW HIS DECEPTION IS TO KNOW HIS DECEPTION.

coming out and saying no post restrictions were in place (caused us to lynch wolf)
arson w/o firefighter
way to many posts from mods. WAYYYYY too many.
imbalanced role distribution

1. Yup. You're right on that one. I'll take the heat for that.
2. If the arsonist was SOOOOOOOOOO overpowered without a Firefighter, explain why he killed exactly ZERO players.
3. There was also a lot of shit that needed to be addressed, such are people talking at night. there were a lot, but they were necessary.
4. Again yes, I said I was going to do random roles and I wasn't going to stray from that. At that point I placed the integrity of the selection over the balance of the distribution, again, I'll take the heat for that one, not Blade's fault at all.
