Hey guys quick question. I don't know that much about cars, really I only know how to change the oil. I was looking into getting a new car so I was browsing different used ads and came across a corvette with 102K miles on it, year is 1989. Its only being sold for $7500. Is that good or should I find another car with fewer miles on it?

    Heres the pic.

Well, that's a really difficult question to answer. I bought my vette 5 years ago with 35000 mi on it and now it has 40000 miles. It's just a toy and a weekend special etc. If that's your intention then go for it as long as it has a clean intterior, no accidents, and is fairly clean. (take it to a body shop for an analysis, and a trusted mecahnic for the rest)

Now, If you're going to use it daily, then I'd pass! Most people that would buy this car are either collectors or vette enthusiasts that would probably restore it and show it or drive it as I do.

    Hope this helped and GL

Don't get it. If you like those Corvette body styles then get a 1992 or later which has the LT1 motor. It's a lot more powerful.

That would be a C4 - 92 -- 96 and be prepared to spend a lot more money.

The pic of mine is a C4 has an LT1 and is a 95

The one he posted is also a c4. They were made from 1984 until 1996. They did change motors though.

I would personally try to find a 1996 because they came with the LT4 as long as they were a 6 speed.

I was going to use it daily. I just wanted a car that would go fast for less money. All the other cars are like (the nice ones) 30K. I guess I will just stick with upgrades with my old car.

Right Masta, I forgot to specify those were the years of the LT1 -- oops
