why would you need friendly fire on if you are being healed from attacks from the enemy? ......... Friendly fire would allow it to be abused.

Fuck yeah. But when he 'returns' dmg, does he receive it as well? Or doesnt reflect all the damage onto the unsuspecting player? Would be a nice storming/rushing race if we could have it to have more speed ('we;re blasting off agaaaiiiin') instead of the literally 'useless' ability

Pretty much. But for example the abilities will activate but not if the other is active. And u could use each ability only 3 times for 5 seconds only? And u'd always have that nifty ultimate as backup? Would that be balancin enough? The race could try to knife its way towards someone who is blasting it with shots and damaging themselves cos they freaked out about the knifer lol.. It would make sense that whoeer plays this race has to be smart enough to know when to activate each ability based on the opponent in front of them..
