Yea We dont need to force no skins. Many people here like to skin there gun and such, but the skins slip used was just flat out cheating.

Osage: It's the same reason people play a variety of maps and mods. After so long, you want some variety. Why is it allowed? My belief is, we hope most of our players are trustworthy, and many skins are not harmful.

You can't really lump maps and mods into the same category as skins and models. Everyone plays by the same circumstances in the same mods and on the same maps. Modifying skins and weapons, particularly player skins, changes the game, and changes the circumstances. More than a few people on IBIS have played with red/blue skins, and too many members of the community have displayed interpretations of fairness disqualifying them from any notion of trustworthiness.

With no way to tell who is using what skins, the only solution is to not allow custom skins. No one knows how many people are using skins that give an advantage, but you can safely say that there are people that are using skins like that. So the rule about skins makes no sense to begin with since the server can be set to not allow custom anything client side. Yes, but, within the rules of the server. The server gives you rules, if you go against those rules, then you are permitting yourself to receive the qualified disciplinary action against you. Slip used skins that many community members (clan, admins, and others alike) felt were giving him an advantage in the game, thus going against the server rules, resulting in the ban against him.

His continuous forum actions that were blatant disrespect against clan and admins alike are what lead to the creation of this thread along with banning him from the forums, which was completely within reason based upon his prior action.

And Yes Fluffy, there are others in the community that use skins, most of which are not determined to give the player any advantage, and yes there are also those who are under suspicion of using outside skins to give them an advantage. It's very strange when somebody has a really off day and tacks it on being on a different computer, and by off day, I mean a complete and utter 90 degree change in performance.

In any case, this thread has become completely sidetracked, and since this discussion has already been resolved, would it be possible for a moderator to close this thread?
